Not enough people are talking about what a wonderfully nuanced performance Aykroyd gives in this film. In fact, I'd even say he turns in one of his best performances in GB4. Thanks to soulful writing and thirty plus years, Ray has more depth than ever before. 🏆

Just the way he says “hauuuuunted” has that classic Aykroyd feel from his ‘80s performances, he knocked it out of the park in this film.

Ray and Phoebe had most of the lines… I enjoyed it ! He was reaching into some deep emotions about not only his character is Ray, but his friendship with Harold Ramis. You could see it ❤️

100 percent, Ray felt like he belonged in the movie and his role was perfect as he was not only a mentoring source but an actual invaluable key player in investigating the big bad of the film. The same goes for Peter, while not as effective as Ray, the film actually showcased he was a contributing member as the paranormal psychologist and obviously reminding us he was working on psychic research and adept in his field in easily identifying Nadeem's psychic potential.

Absolutely, agreed!!! Venkman was always my favorite but as of recently I can really relate with Ray. They really shouldn’t have cut any of the scenes with the OG cast because they were all fantastic but Aykroyd definitely gave the stand out performance!

Another point: In this movie Ray definitively transitioned from trope character to a full fledged one.

I like that Venkman has been noticing the flame behind him all this time. It reacted since the first question.

the collage dean who fired Peter in the first movie was DEAD wrong about him. Dude earns his doctorate because he can understand people and get inside their heads. this scene among many others is proof!

"We had no equipment back then" -- kinda wanna see a GB prequel about the boys as post-grads goin on their first haunt

I only liked since Bill Murray didn't care if he threw pens or not and not giving a f*ck

"did I pass?" a venkman answer would most likely be "....no..."

I just realized I've never seen that scene because I slept through the second act and woke up just in time for the big CGI battle.

Hahahahaha classic Dr Peter Venkman is the only scientist who would do something like that to a person.....love that guy

One of my favorite scenes in the movie. Venkman hasn't lost his touch.

Weird, unusual, eccentric, seemingly a charlatan, but in reality still a true Scientist, Dr. Peter Venkman, PhDs in Psychology and Para Psychology.

That helmet brings back memories I remember I when Louis first worn it when he was the key master

there should be a ghostbusters movie with no spanglers and just a ghostbusters movie with bill murray, dan aykroyd, ernie hudson, annie potts, william atherton, sigourney weaver, and bill's and sigourney's now grown up son known as oscar.

Thank you Dan Akroyd for keeping the character and spirit of the ghostbusters franchise as “alive” and true as possible in 2020s Hollywood. He was the heart and “soul” of this film.

Fin could have been left out it would not have changed the movie at all. The same for some of the other characters. They don't bring anything

I love Kumail Nanjiani, but I feel like his humorous style didn’t quite work in a ghostbusters film. It’s too clever. It’s dialogue and bit-driven, whereas I feel like the heart and soul of the original films came from naturalism and an embrace of the humor of the mundane..

Jesus this dialogue is cringe.

I was so exited to see this and it was so mediocre, i dont even remeber what happend .

This movie is a catastrophe.
