This is easily my favorite scrapped Godzilla project. So much so I actually ended up dreaming up a trailer for it the one time. That was a weird and disappointing way to wake up.

That draft of Godzilla vs Ghost Godzilla certainly would have been very expensive to make that is for sure. And a bit too ambitious for a film that needed to be turned around in less than a year to make the 95 deadline.

Wasn't it the ghost of OG Godzilla that possessed Kiryu via its bones being used to build it?

No wonder Ghost Godzilla never saw the light of day; it would’ve been absolutely ridiculous as a finale for Big G to fight yet another clone, especially considering that Toho had already given us MechaGodzilla, MechaGodzilla II (a.k.a. Super MechaGodzilla), SpaceGodzilla & Biollante.

I think they did use a Ghost Godzilla of sort for Kiryu because they used those bones to build it

Yep, that's right; in some ways, Kiryu is Ghost Godzilla. The weird thing about the bones is that in the actual original Godzilla film hey were wiped out too, along with the rest of Godzilla's body! So both the Kiryu films and some of the proposed Ghost Godzilla stuff shouldn't technically have been possible.

Hey good video dude. It's very informative on a classic cancelled movie, but maybe don't use Ai generated images. That stuff uses a lot of hard working artists pieces without their consent. There's tons of other ways to make images to fill in the blanks without having to rely on AI.

think that's a very good mask(do wish anguirus appeared in heisei/hope he shows up in monsterverse.:3) though lol at the ending. while i prefer destoroyah as the final challenge for heisei godzilla,with how it's implied in the gigan short recently it's godzilla junior defending earth after disappearing for years would love a series about him growing to become earth's guardian with '54 godzilla being his final opponent literally confronting the sins of his father(or moreso great grandfather ancestor.). with how they kinda tried to bring back '54 godzilla being revived in gmk & his spirit possessing kiryu would be interesting seeing that with how alongside minus/early half of heisei was the most outright evil the big g was.

Hope u plan on covering more scrapped Kaiju from unmade sequels.

The gmk Godzilla is based on Ghost Godzilla and we kind of sort of got Godzilla versus Ghost Godzilla with Godzilla against mechagodzilla with the millennium mechagodzilla being possessed by the spirit of the original Godzilla

They kinda did something like this in gmk. Gojira was the souls of the dead in WW2 and they kinda did this in Kiyru or Mecha Godzilla 3
