I kinda see it, but he still doesn’t feel that distinct from Papa III for me. He’s arguably goofier, just less confident. What I DO like is the tension that’s subtly building between him and Sister/Sulterian/the rest of the Clergy. They made him Papa, but they are NOT treating him like it, and he’s starting to question why, I can just tell.

I don't know how this can be put into reality, but a short (12 to 15 minutes) series of about 3 seasons of Ghost would be gold. I don't know how Tobias with his full blown agenda of concerts will have any time for that, but man, the level of genius of this man can do wonders for such.

There's me thinking that Papa Nihil's actor forgot to put his contact lenses in. His big blue eyes caught me off guard. But in a way it kind of makes sense why this might be. He's a ghost (literally) and in some fiction, people's spirits can appear the same way when they died or they appear "healed". Hope this makes some sort of sense....

I'm thinking we might even see the past Papas brought to life... if Nihil can be reanimated for his sax solo, why can't the other three guys come back? My bet is that this is how Emeritus IV will go down, the Papas from I to III will take him down! Impera is about rise and FALL of the empires, no way Copia / Emeritus IV will reach album six, either the ghouls will off him since he's repeatedly mistreating them live, but my bet is that the three other Papas will take care of him.

I don't think to have all the answers but let's remember that for all the Prequelle tour, we saw Papa Nihil almost pass out before the last sax note, and we all thought it was just a silly gag, but turns out it was actually a foreshadowing of his death, at every concert, for the whole tour, so we know that Tobias plans things well in advance. I might be completely wrong but I don't think that he went out of his way to "resuscitate" Nihil just because he didn't want to drop Miasma from the set (maybe he just thinks it's a good live song and he also gets a chance to rest for 5 minutes during the show), so that's my hope.... that we will see the first three Papas come back to life! it might also make easier for us to let go of Copia because let's face it - he won't be around for the next album. Nothing ever lasts forever......

Infestissumam came out when I was in 8th grade, and Ghost is still my favorite band. Your love for them will probably never fade. My parents wouldn’t let me go see them either, but when I turned 16 I took myself!

Also been there, and it was amazing. However, mid-ritual, just when they began to play year zero, the lights went on. What an annoying disruption. I wonder if some christian janitor felt the need to take a stand against all those demonic presences that were gathering in the Olympiahalle? Kudos to the band who handled it extremely professionally. Papa's comment : "I know, it's Monday, and things can get fckd up. No problem."

I still can't believe we get such great music and a sitcom explaining the new era.

This is my favorite show of all time. Seriously. I don't want to watch anything else ever again. I love seeing Copia grow into being Papa. I HATE how they keep treating him like he's not though. I can't wait to see what happens next. Time to watch this a hundred more times!

The way they’re essentially ignoring Papa’s rank offstage is obviously some sort of sign that there is something brewing. This is all part of some machination by Sister, but it didn’t end when Copia ascended to Papa IV. What’s the play? What role does Sultarian play in this? Papa is obviously not happy about it, but is keeping his gripes buried. It’s like he’s Papa in name only.

I think when he started the band he was super serious as a way to show they weren't just a joke but had actual talent and now that they're super established and considered a benchmark in music he is finally letting the true colors of Ghost show, the comedic, not too serious but still hella good and somewhat serious music. After all, the primary inspiration behind them (Death SS) are also kind of a big joker band.

Okay, next episode had better give some sort of hint as to who Mr. Sultarian is and what his actual purpose here is. The way I see the “plot” in general going is either: Papa IV is going to grow more and more frustrated with Sister and the Clergy’s puppeteering of him (because it’s been evident that even after his ascension, he’s very much not in a position of real authority) and eventually mount a “restructuring” of his own ala when the other 3 Papas all got gathered together and snuffed out. Or alternatively, whatever Sister and Sultarian are working towards will proceed and Papa IV won’t have the agency to really impede it, his arc ending with a bit of a tragic note where he is proven to have been a stopgap Papa that kept the masses entertained while a Clerical power restructuring happened behind the scenes. Should this be the route taken, Papa IV will either be made to seem as if the pretenses of him having any real power have been dropped and show a very potent bitterness in his stage presence, or have him unceremoniously disposed of or dismissed for a much less affable Papa V. Or both of these could be wrong. I just think either of these are the most interesting ways this could go, and I am certainly detecting that Papa isn’t satisfied with how he’s being talked down to, and nobody in the Clergy seems to regard him with any real weight befitting of a Papa. That has to lead somewhere.

When is this damn Ghost movie getting released?
