The thing that pisses me off is that everyone is like: george went missing before everyone got infected. But i think only ONE animator got this correct: george ran away after his family got infected and hid in the mall, in fact, george himself says that when you beat the mall map in the cutscene! So no, penny had no clue that he ran away
