Am a Ghanaian and this brother is so right. Ghana is beautiful and Accra is overrated. Look outside Accra and live in peace for less. You can always come to party in Accra for the weekend

THIS LAND ISSUES ALWAYS SKIPS PAST THE BASIC POINT HE MENTIONED. WE, FROM THE WEST, THINK OF "BUYING LAND" AS HOLDING AN ACTUAL "OWNERSHIP TITLE", NOT A "LEASE" ON IT. WHAT HE SAID IS THAT NO ONE CAN ACTUALLY "OWN LAND" IT IS ALWAYS LEASED BY THE HISTORIC OWNERS AND STAKEHOLDERS. THIS "NON-OWNERSHIP" IS NOT WHAT MOST EXPATS HEAR, BUT IT IS THE BASIC PROBLEM. YOU CANNOT KNOW WHAT CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT OR LAWS WILL HAPPEN WITHIN 50 TO 100 YEARS. WITHOUT GETTING A CLEAR AND TOTAL DEED, YOU ARE JUST RENTING FOR A PERIOD THAT COULD CHANGE AT ANYTIME, AS IT HAS. THIS OLD TRIBAL AND COLONIAL SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY FOREIGN TO SOMEONE IN AMERICA WHO SEES GUYING LAND AS ACTUALLY OWNING LAND. IN THIS DAY AND AGE, THIS ISSUE WILL STALL ANY LARGESCALE DEVELOPMENT. TIM, I ENJOY YOUR CHANNEL.

Leasing land is actually quite common in the US, but it tends to be for land used for commercial purposes and leased by large institutions (e.g., municipal and state governments, etc.).

Integrity is something that most people don't live by anymore in this world they think that is more lucrative to rip you off in many cases it seem to be because it's very little help that way will receive from authorities as well as the penalty of thievery is a snap on the wrist, 🌄🦍

You can use all the tips in the books to buy land, your land is still not safe. The loudest mouth in Ghana, Kennedy agyapong kraa buys land and ppl find ways to collect it from him. The smartest thing to do is to buy from gated communities, it’s expensive but it’s the safest bet.

It is also biblical that u don't sell your land to strangers therefore keeping strangers from overruling (or gentrifying) where technically a stranger is not suppose to over you only those that are of your tribe

this is not the best way of land management, though I understand the reasoning. this means land never changes hands ever really? are people who have say a 99 year leases let's say turning around and selling say 40 or 50 year leases out of their 99 year lease? what happens if the family that lease the land dies off?
