And the conclusion “razor sharp intellect” is subjective as it is driven by the fact that what appeals to your “level of intellect” becomes a litmus test of intellect. You need to first study what intellect means and what it really is. And lastly, please learn how to write proper English, using some vocabulary words does not make you an intellectual or declare someone else an intellectual.

AoA, sir with utmost respect, Ghamdi Sahib is saying "those musreqeen who embraced Islam during time of Holy Prophet PBUH and then apostated, are to be killed", not musteqeen in general. Those apostates who had embraced Islam during Prophet Muhammad PBUH and later turned back to Shirk after Holy Prophet PBUH. This creates confusion as almost all apostates that received the punishment of death at hands of Sahaba RA had embraced Islam during the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, I hope you can see the difference clearing now. This is indeed weakness of your own ILM/knowledge. There is absolutely no confusion about this law in 1442 years of Muslim history. The implementation and details of it is different than rejecting the law completely. This is the crux of the message in this clip. Ahl. There are ulema who can negate ijtihaad of fitna e ilmiyat.... Mufti sahab as a student of research (PhD Economics , research student) I can relate to what ghamdi sahab is trying to achieve, It's not him , infact the Western academia's approach to question Islam it's settled aqaid in the name of research, he is just trying to bridge and come up with a neutral way to fulfil the urge of present day... Further , unfortunately when some naive Qari come in tv shows to defend Islam , it portrait a totally ignorant image about ulema... Thus "educated" people feel inclined toward the logic of ghamdi sahab...

Yes that is how Ummat has stayed on the correct path (Consensus of Sahaba). This is how Quran was compiled (exclusion of Quranic Ayahs that were Mansookh) and this is how Fiqh was derived. The ones who followed their own logic and Aqal were misguided sects like Khawarij (their declarations based on their own understanding of Quran including the Fatwa of Kufr on Ali Razi Allah o Anhu) and later on sects like Mautazila (reject anything that does not appeal to intellect) and similarly many other misguided sects all followed their own understanding. Following the Group and consensus of Sahaba in Aqeedah and Amaal is the path of Ahle Sunnah. Every other sect is Ahle Biddat.

غامدی صاحب اہل سنت سے خارج ہیں۔ وہ اہل سنت کے بہت سے عقائد اور اصولوں کو نہیں مانتے۔ ان کے بہت سے اصول معتزلہ فرقے سے لئے گئے ہیں جن کو اہل سنت (صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم کی جماعت) نے گمراہ سمجھا تھا اور سمجھتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح آج کے دور میں جو بھی وہ عقائد رکھے گا اہل سنت سے باہر ہے اور گمراہ ہے (غامدی صاحب اس میں شامل ہیں)۔ یہاں کسی بحث کی ضرورت نہیں، جس طرح اہل تشیع اپنا عقیدہ رکھتے ہیں اسی طرح اہل سنت اپنے عقائد رکھتے ہیں اور کوئی شخص ان عقائد سے ہٹ کر کوئی اور عقیدہ رکھتا ہے (جیسے غامدی صاحب) تو وہ اہل سنت اور اہل تشیع میں شمار نہیں ہو گا۔ بات بہت آسان ہے لیکن غامدی فرقے والے اس سے برا مان جاتے ہیں۔

Jazak Allah Khair for understanding. That is exactly what the video is about. Ghamidi sb opinion is his own as compared to 1400 years of Ummat that includes Khulafa e Rashideen, Akabir Sahaba, Tabaeen and Taba Tabeen besides every other scholar of 1400 years. Hadith: Follow me and my Khulafa e Rashideen Hadith: After me, the next 3 generations will be the best among the Ummah. So the weight of Whole Ummat plus endorsement of the prophet SAW vs 15th century Ghamidi sb. الحمداللہ it makes it very easy for anyone to understand and accept the argument posed in the video.

On the issue of the punishment of apostasy, I would like to present the following example from the era of the Khilafat-e-Raashidah, which has been narrated by Imam Tirmidhi, in Jaami At-Tirmidhi, and is graded by Imam Tirmidhi as an authentic hadith. First, the Arabic text: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا حَرَّقَ قَوْمًا ارْتَدُّوا عَنْ الْإِسْلَامِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِکَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ لَوْ کُنْتُ أَنَا لَقَتَلْتُهُمْ لِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ وَلَمْ أَکُنْ لِأُحَرِّقَهُمْ لِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُعَذِّبُوا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِکَ عَلِيًّا فَقَالَ صَدَقَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَی هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ Below is the Urdu translation: احمد بن عبدہ، عبدالوہاب، ایوب، حضرت عکرمہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت علی نے ایک جماعت کوجو اسلام سے پھر چکی تھی جلا دیا یہ خبر حضرت ابن عباس کو پہنچی تو فرمایا کہ اگر ان کی جگہ میں ہوتا تو میں انہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ارشاد کے مطابق قتل کر دیتا کیونکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا جو اپنا دین تبدیل کرے اسے قتل کر دو۔ پس میں انہیں نہ جلاتا اس لئے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا تم اللہ کے خاص عذاب کی طرح عذاب نہ دو۔ جب یہ خبر حضرت علی کو پہنچی تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ابن عباس نے سچ کہا۔ امام ترمذی نے کہا کہ یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے

انکا راستہ مذہبی پیشوائیت کے اسی روئیے سے الگ ہے جسمیں پچھلی قومیں خصوصا بنی اسرائیل مبتلا تھی ۔ سلف کی اندھی تقلید ، قرآن کو یا تو اولیت ہی نہ دینا یا پھر ہر طرح سے تقلید فہم القرآن میں روایات کو بنیاد کے طور پر پیش کرنا حتی کہ وہاں بھی جہاں قرآنی پیغام بہت واضح ہو ۔ ایسی تاویلات کرنا۔ انکا رویہ اس طرح کی پیشوائیت سے ہٹ کر ہے ۔ اور خدارا اس پروپیگنڈے کو بند کریں کہ وہ امت سے ہٹ کر کوئی بلکل نئی بات کرتے ہیں ۔ یہ بہتان ہے اور بہتان خدا کی ناراضگی کا سبب بنتا ہے ۔ کوئی زمانہ ایسا نہ تھا جب مذہبی پیشوائیت اور روایتی فرقہ پرستی کی سطح سے اوپر اٹھ کر کچھ لوگ دین کے پیغام کو پھیلانے کی سعی نہ کرتے ہوں بس یہی رہا کہ انہیں ناکام کرنے کے لئے ضد اور انا کے رویئے استعمال کئے گئے ۔ اصلاح احوال کی کوششوں کرنے والوں کی ناکامی کا مطلب یہ نہیں ہوتا کہ وہ غلط ہیں بلکہ اللہ تعالی ہمیشہ پاک کو ناپاک سے الگ کرتے ہیں ۔ صالحین کا انجام اللہ ہی کے ذمے ہے ۔ بات سے دل آزاری ہوئی ہو تو معاف کر دیجئے مگر انکے پیغام کو سمجھیں تفصیل میں جائیں ۔ پھر بھی اختلاف ہو تو اسے سنجیدہ اور نفیس طریقے سے بیان کریں اور منفی پروپیگنڈا نہ کریں

آپ کا کمنٹ اچھا ہے لیکن اس پر بہت تفصیل سے کئی بار مفتی صاحب بات کر چکے ہیں- اس پر قرآن کی آیات موجود ہیں (اہل ذکر اور علماء کی اتباع اور پیروی کی)اور تاریخ میں یہ بات ہر صدی میں ملے گی کہ جس فرقے نے قرآن کی از خود تشریح کی وہ گمراہ ہوئے- سب سے پہلے جس فرقے نے از خود قرآن کی تشریح کی اور امت کے طریقے پر نہیں چلے وہ خوارج تھے اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے خلاف آئے تھے اور اپنے عقائد اور نظریات قرآن سے ہے ثابت کر رہے تھے اور ماضی قریب میں یہی کام مرزا قادیانی نے کیا اور نبوت کا دعوی قرآن اور احادیث سے ہی ثابت کیا- اس دوران ہر صدی میں یہ کام ہوا اور یہ سب تاریخ اور فرقے بننے کی وجوہات اور عقائد کی کتابوں میں موجود ہے- بنیادی فرق جو آپ نہیں سمجھے وہ مذہبی پیشوا کی اندھی تقلید اور صحابہ کی جماعت کی تقلید میں فرق سمجھنا ہے- اس پورے بیان میں یہی بات ہوئی اور خلفاء راشدین کی پیروی پر بات ہوئی- بنیادی طور پر غامدی صاحب عقائد کے باب میں امت سے ہٹ کر ہیں اور جن عقائد پر صحابہ کی جماعت اور خلفاء راشدین متفق ہیں ان پر نہیں ہیں- اس سب کو اگر سمجھنا ہو تو مفتی صاحب کے عقیدہ سیریز اور قرآن کی تدوین پر سیریز ہماری ویب سائٹ پر موجود ہے اسے مرحلہ وار پورا سنیں-

آپ ان تمام باتوں پر استدلال انہی حوالوں کا دے رہے ہیں جن کے بارے میں بنیادی اختلاف کے دلائل غامدی صاحب اور دیگر دیتے ہیں ۔ میں نے آپ سے صرف یہ گزارش کی تھی کہ کسی بھی عالم کو اپنا نکتہ بیان کرنا چاہئیے مگر دوسرے کے نکتہ نظر کو مطلقا غلط قرار دینے سے پرہیز کرنا چاہئیے ۔ نہ میں انکا مقلد اور وکیل ہوں اور نہ ایسا ارادہ رکھتا ہوں کہ دین کی بنیادی تعلیمات کو پس پشت رکھ کر ایسی بحثوں میں الجھوں ۔ قرآن اپنے بین ہونے کا دعوی کرتے ہوئے اسی کی آیات پر غور کرنے کو کہتا ہے نہ کہ وہ تفاسیر میں روایتوں کے حوالے تلاش کرنے کا ۔ ( معذرت) ۔ رسول کی موجودگی میں ارتداد اس وقت اللہ کی حکومت سے بغاوت ہونے کے مترادف تھا ۔ آج عام مسلمان کو اگر یہ اختیار دے دیا گیا تو محض فساد فی الارض ہی ہوگا ۔ اور پھر دعوت کی ذمہ داری کی نفی ، اللہ کی فطرت کے قانون کی نفی کہ جو چاہے گمراہی اختیار کرے جو چاہے ھدایت ۔ پھر اللہ قیامت کے روز سب فیصلے فرمائے گا ۔ جزاک اللہ ۔ اگر آپ مطمئن نہ ہوں تو جیسا آپکو بہتر خیال ہو اس پر چلیں بس اپنے اور ہم سب کے لئے اللہ کی ھدایت کے لئے دعاگو رہیں ۔ مسلمانوں میں برداشت ، ضبط اور تحمل کیلئے دعاگو

There are two important points based on your comment: 1) You did not understand what Mufti sb point is. It is not related to "Punishment of an Apostate" rather as per the Title, the Unique path Ghamdi sb takes on almost anything (Aqeedah, Tafseer, Fiqah, Hadith) 2) The looking down upon and degrading approach and accusing the whole generation of "traditional scholars". One need to think carefully before posting on a public forum.

No disrespect to anyone. As a scientist I find it a very strange premise that if something has been understood in a certain way for 1400 years it can not be reviewed for correctness. This closes all the doors of all contemporary religious research and review. Anytime you will oppose a classical opinion, your argument will be weightless compared to the 1400 years of classical position.

The problem with scientists is that they keep changing their opinions of matter based on experiments and deals with religion in the same way thus think that the base of religion can evolve with time as well. The concept of Ijma is proven from the Quran, just that with today’s generation shallow knowledge they don’t know. وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعۡ غَيۡرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيرًا And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.

جناب مذہب اور سائنس میں حقیقت تک پہنچنے کے طریقے میں بنیادی فرق ہے۔ مذہب میں ہم حقیقت تک پہنچنے کے لیے پیچھے کی طرف سفر کرتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ دین پیچھے سے آیا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مراد کیا تھی اس کو اب ہم اچانک خودبخود discover نہیں کرسکتے۔ بلکہ آپ صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم سے براہ راست سننے والے صحابہ کرام اور ان کے بعد آنے والے نسلوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بات کو کیسے سمجھا ، یہ ہمارا بنیادی معیار ہے۔ جبکہ سائنس میں ایسا نہیں ہے ۔

In fields of empirical studies and inferences therefrom, it does make sense that the state of knowledge will continually get refined and revised. However, the same is not true of revealed knowledge. In the field of revealed knowledge of Islam, our interpretations are bound by the Prophetic statement that is narrated by Tirmidhi: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَجْمَعُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ ، وَيَدُ اللَّهِ مَعَ الْجَمَاعَةِ Translated: Allah will not gather my Ummah on misguidance, and the Hand of Allah is with the Jama'ah. This Hadith has been graded as Hasan by Imam Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani and other scholars of Hadith. If someone claims, like Ghamidi does, that only he has arrived at the truth after some 14 centuries have passed, and in the meanwhile, the whole Ummah has been united in mis-understanding this or that rule of Islam, that claim makes a mockery of this Hadith. This is not to say that each and every individual Muslim scholar is infallible, or that every scholarly opinion is correct, but just that the Ummah as a whole has been saved from uniting on any falsehood. Imam Tirmidhi explains the word "Jama'ah" in this hadith as follows: " وَتَفْسِيرُ الْجَمَاعَةِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ : هُمْ أَهْلُ الْفِقْهِ وَالْعِلْمِ وَالْحَدِيثِ " Translation: The exegesis of "Al-Jama'ah" according to the people of knowledge are the people of Fiqh, the people of Ilm and the people of Hadith. The problem with Ghamidi and others of his ilk is that they go against the scholarly consensus whenever the fancy takes them, and do not realize that by doing so they are inadvertently making the whole corpus of Islamic law suspect. A new convert to Islam, if he were to read the books of such revisionists, would not afterwards be able to feel sure that anything the Muslims unanimously regard as "Islamic Law" is indeed what God meant to make law. Is that not a disservice to the Deen?

@@asimimam2900 yes the jamaah (sawad e azam) refer to ahlus sunnah wal jamaah are those who follow one of four madhab of fiqh , ashari or maturidi or traditional athari(non salafi) in aqeedah and one of sufi tareeqa....any group who abondon this way and aqeedah schools falls into jahannem...the jamaah is the rope of Allah...sects like salafi, ahlul hadith ,shia falls outside the jamaah

Been scientist doesn’t mean anything in any religion. I’m afraid Ghamdi’s research is beyond question.

محتر م، آپ نے اچھے ا نداز سے گفتگو کی ہے اس پر آپ کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتا ھوں۔ مگر فقھا کی اجتماعی راے کو بنیاد بنانے سے پہلے آپ کو یہ ثابت کرنا ہو گا کہ جب کوئ بات یا دعویٰ ایک بڑی جماعت میں حمایت حاصل کر لے تو اس میں غلطی کا شبہ باقی نھیں رہتا اور اس کو بطور حجت ماننا لازم ہو جاتا ہے۔ جب آپ اس بات کو بطور اصول ثابت کر دیں گے تو آپ کو مزید بحث کی ضرورت ہی نہیں رہے گی۔ فقھا کی راےَ آپ سے آپ اپنی بات منوا لے گی۔ دنیا میں اس وقت بھی مسلمان سے زیادہ عیسائ بستے ہیں۔ ان کی تاریخ بھی اسلام سے زیادہ طویل ہے۔ عیسا ئیت کے سبھی پیرو اور علماء عیسیٰ ابن مریم کی الوحیت کو مانتے رہے ہیں اور اب بھی مانتے ہیں۔ تو پھر کیا قرآن نے اس دعوے کو رد نہیں کیا؟ اگر ھم اپنے فقہا کی رائے کو حجت کا درجہ دے دیں تو دیگر ادیان کے ماننے والے اپنے دین کے معاملے میں ایسا کیوں نہ کریں۔ ان کو بھی پورا حق ھونا چاہیے کہ وہ اسلام کے استدلال کو یہ کہ کر رد کر دیں کہ ھمارے سبھی فقیھ بزرگ تو اسلام کو نہیں مانتے اور اس پر متفق بھی ہیں۔ لہذا، میری ناقص راےَ میں، آپ کے استدلال میں تقویت کی کچھ گنجائیش باقی ہے۔

Mufti sahab aap kob chahiye k ghamdi sahab ki islam pr muqammal kitab mizaan padhien. Wahan ghamdi sahab ne tafseel se btaya hai. Doosari baat, aap khud bta rhe hain k baad k aaimma hazaraat ne sahaba ki kai raye ko nhi mana, to phir ghamdi sahab k na manne pr aitraz kis liye? Babot se maslak ek majlis mein teen talaq ka hazarat umar r. S. K faidle ko nhi mante hain. Unko to kbhi malamat. Hi ki gai! 🤔 Sab se aham baat ye hai k btahr aap k bhi ghamadi sahab ne bhi ulema ka maukif nhi chupaya. To aap kyun is pr logon ko btane ya samjhane a gye? Logon ko faisla krne dijiye. Akhir deen awaam ko hi manna hai. Unnko hi is pr amal krna hai. To faisla un pr chor dijiye. Aap ko awaam ko Bhadkane ki kya zaroorat hai?

The rad of Deviant sects and people have been done by the scholars for last 1442 years. It was done by the Sahaba Razi Allah o Anhum (read their history) and by the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم when he corrected the Aqaid of the people of Quraish and other tribes.

No need to get upset and start using abusive language. There were thousands who followed Ghulam Ahmed Pervaiz (Who rejected Hadith) and thousands who followed Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani (Who declared Nabuwat and provided proof from Quran and Hadith as per his understanding). The misguided have come in last 1400 years and will keep coming.
