Guys in comments, learn one thing. IBIS is good for handheld vlogging on KZread, but it is not smooth, but warpy just like you would put stabilizer on shot with various movements. People nowadays don't even know how to hold and walk with camera properly just because of in-build stabilization.

I have always sought a camera that can do everything. I am thinking a combination now would be better. The choice with the GH5 or GH5s is image stabilisation or low light. Well maybe buy both.

Going back and forth on these two. I rarely shoot handheld it’s mostly with a gimbal. Is the GH5s the better get in that scenario?

Putting the GH5 vs. GH5S on a gimbal and panning would be a better test of the IBIS, specifically the reason that it was left off the GH5S. IBIS sensors are floating even when IBIS is disabled, so they are affected by momentum, and on a stabilized platform you'll notice the IBIS causes unexpected and somewhat unpredictable aberrations in the movement of the field of view.

I don't know how you came to an opposite conclusion, but the punch-ins for the slow-motion shots definitely look better on the GH5. The graphics and letters on the back of your hoodie are all jagged looking in the GH5s whereas they are completely smooth on the GH5.

I love my GH5s. It's a killer camera. Wait until you shoot Vlog. The native ISO is 800 and 5000 with max dynamic range. And once you use a Metabones SB XL you can really get some light in there. I do like the GH5's 6k anamorphic feature and IBIS is nice.

Hello great video, you will be overwhelmed by questions so here's another to anybody. I'm video, not photo. GH-5 Video-people don't do automatic focus. But manual with focus peaking is not easy, especially outside on the small monitor. Now here comes the point. There is a handy tool 'Manual focus assist' (it zooms in on a selected range but) great tool but it doesn't work WHILE you're actually filming. Any solutions for this (maybe the update can do this).
