In 2016, Gfriend song Rough got 15 music show wins and GFRIEND song navillera got 14 music show wins. They are the only girl group who had double triple crowns in just 1 year.

It took me a while to get used to their sound. But NOW I'm a Buddy as well.

Navillera was my first comeback as a buddy. it’s still my favourite song. and it is, indeed, GF’s signature sound. guitar solos all the way!

their music is so good true but I started to Stan them because of their personality. Also Gfriend and Electric guitars is iconic almost in every tt they even have that in their bsides.

The members who hit the High notes near the end of Navillera was Yuju and Eunha. Yuju hit the 1st High note and the 2nd high note adlib in the background was Eunha.

Honestly underrated singers. Eunha had so many collabs which have her beautiful vocals in it and Yuju be hitting all these high notes perfectly while dancing. What I want to say is, they need to be mentioned in all these "best main vocals" videos.

You definitely can't miss their's Japanese songs for example "Fallin' Light" or "Memoria", both them are amazing ! BTW, in Fallin' light album not only title song but also b-side songs are high quality and amazing too! "My My my" or "La Pam Pam" really could be title songs! Strongly recommend to watch or reacting it.

Actually they're killing each other in this mv, and eunha (the one with short hair) is using those butterflies to give her friends another life in another dimension, and at the same time she's sacrificing a quarter of her soul whenever she uses a butterfly, that's why whenever she falls she finds herself again in her bed, so far in the storyline she used 3 and it's still on going, so if she ever needs to used the 4th one she'll die. You can check crossroads after this one, it's a rollercoaster of emotions istg, it has like a million key changes. Love whisper is also an amazing song with the usual gfriend sound and synth. And navillera means butterfly btw! EDIT: i found out that this theory isn't accurate and there's more to the story, eunha doesn't sacrifice her soul, but rewinds the time instead using the butterflies, so please check out the first comment where you can find the right story, a buddy explained it perfectly there

Hi buddy are you talking about the theory after Crossroads? Because in their recent lore it is already confirmed that Eunha used the butterflies to rewound time and not literally by giving a quarter of her life to others..well technically because it was confirmed in their Märchens that the more they used the butterfly the more corrupted their glass beads will be until in Apple where they used up all the butterflies (thus Umji's death not getting reversed) and as a consequence the witches took over their body including the dead Umji making the original souls trapped in abyss. You can see that at the end of Apple and on Mago. Sowon gave a hint recently and even in the last part of Walpurgis Night Märchen that the next stroy is how they will move forward or probably get their body back from being possessed.

They also cover theories to most Hybe artists (Bts, Txt, Enhypen). Tho Laina focuses her theories more on the lore, the story in Gfriend's universe itself while Bookish Theories focuses on psychological and philosophical narrative and explanations of the story. Tho they might be different but you will see common denominators about their theories somehow.

maybe just me clowning but the next story moving forward i think gfriend will be out for blood since at the end of mago mv the girls are reunited and ready for anything to come. i bet they're the ones sending out invitation to enhypen to the carnival. wishing hard for a gfriend rock comeback so i can see gothfriend like in the apple rock version stage.

fingertip was a bop ahead of its time, the funky beats, the bass slap, fingertip was literally fire. can't believe at the time it was released, some didn't like it and criticised gfriend for changing their concept. glad you're enjoying gfriend seems like you've been hit by what buddys like to call the "gfriend curse". just take your time enjoying their music and stan them when you're ready. 😁

Honestly all their mini albums are so good. I never thought a song was produced bad or could be better sang. They never stopped giving us bops after bops. I'm a buddy since Rough era and now they are in hybe labels :D. Gfriend truly deserves everything they accomplished till now. All buddies are srsly proud of Gfriend^^ Favorite group or not people love seeing Gfriend because not only do they give us beautiful music but also a lot of funny and cute content.

The first time I heard gfriend was from their weekly idol episode with mamamoo, and after I watched it I thought that they wouldn’t be for me. But now I ult them 😅 boy was I wrong As for recommendations, crossroads has my favorite mv and I cried the first time I heard the song

Gfriend has been incorporating guitar solos since Me Gustas Tu (or Flower Bud EP) and they're still doing it on their very recent releases especially on the b-sides (both ballads and upbeat songs). Even their Pokémon OST and remake songs have that.

i just knew that if you'll go to Gfriend's concert probably you're going to enjoy the songs since it was with the live band which the instrumentals are so good

Fifi please, I will BEG for you to watch Fever...it's one of my faves and there are certain sections of the choreo that just...wow, it's such a good summer song. (Plus SinB GREEN HAIR like whoa) If you do Crossroads, it might be a good time to tell you this: Crossroads was the first MV they did after their label, Source Music, was bought by Big Hit (BTS), so the style is a bit different. It's more...cinematic? Still good though, but you might notice a key element of the Gfriend staple not showing up in the vid...you'll see. (The "labyrinth" trilogy btw, their 2020 releases, are Crossroads, Apple, and Mago, and tell a story in that order.) I was always thinking you might vibe with Gfriend, their music style is very...idk, them? and the choreo...they're literally known as "Godfriend" for it, they have show segments that demonstrate how in sync they are, ex dancing blindfolded, dancing in a line and having their limbs all line up perfectly. They're honestly my top group for group dance quality, DC, ITZY, and PK close behind.

But I do sympathise with you trying to Stan many groups at once as I love Twice and Dreamcatcher but do not have the emotional reservoir to Stan them because Gfriend have totally taken my heart already. They are so talented in every sphere: visuals, vocals and dance and each member has their own unique crackhead personality. They are the most invited guest ever on Weekly Idol with their 14th appearance last year which just goes to show how much fun the shows have been when they have appeared on it. They are so funny 😂. You will get glimpses of that in their guide.
