At the time he called her plain, she sounded just a little “dead” inside, not much emotion. But she’s improved so much so since then and is just such a good vocalist. GFriend wouldn’t be the same without her

For me, she is one of the best if not the best vocalists in Kpop, at least that I have heard. Idk how ppl say she lacks emotion, everytime she sings I could feel her voice hitting my soul. She also has great technique and I hate that ppl underestimate her now cause of that short time where her voice regressed a bit cause of lack of rest :((

as for now she’s found her true voice/sound and not be too crazy with high notes after high notes because shes not just “a high note girl”, shes more than that, shes a SINGER, not just a vocalist. while she’s toning down her high notes, the other members have improved a lot in their singing, which gives a room for her as a main vocal to take a step back, and let other members shine vocally as well, because she once said she wants gfriend to be 6 main vocals, not just her. plus a lot of people said gfriend cant perform well without yuju as the high note hitter. 2020 came, their 3 comebacks have proven everyone wrong. sunrise came, eunha proved everyone wrong. if all of these didnt happen, we wont have vocally confident sowon & umji to have their own song “Better Me”, a song with a sound GFriend has never done before. she loves her members & group so much they want them to shine together and not just her being in the spotlight. shes also an adult now, she understands things better. no more straining, she needs to take care of the diamond of herself, which is her voice. ❤️
