mark and nanny Di. we love what you buy and plant you both work very hard. and you two should be proud of your garden
Imagine your child opening a gift from your friend and this is their reaction. Would you be embarrassed by their behavior? What would you say to your child? More than likely you'd be mortified and your friend's feeling would be hurt. I'm a teacher and I can't tell you the times I've received something that smelled awful or taste awful. It truly is the thought that counts. You said that Mark used to buy you flowers. Just think now he's actually growing you flowers so that you can enjoy their beauty all day, every day.
Mark I know you love your mum but be a bit kinder to her she's @least double your age & gardening is hard work & very tiring you do give her lots to do,which I know she likes doing but take it easy on her make her cups of tea tell her how grateful you are for all her help & knowledge she's brought to your lovely Garden,You've nurtured it together it looks amazing Just Big her up a bit,Sending you both much love from sunny Scotland 💛
Mark you could buy some plants/flowers for your Mum too 😊
Mark you and Nanny Di are a great team, your garden is fabulous and will improve year on year.
Sometimes people cannot envisage what a young plant will turn into and I think this is Nadia's problem. The garden is now getting colour into it as things start to grow and it is looking lovely thanks to Nanny Di and Mark putting so much effort into it. Would be nice to see at some point Nadia and the girls giving a helping hand too - perhaps they could all leave their phones in the house and help do some weeding one afternoon!
Mark and nanny Di the garden is looking lovely you both work so hard 💕xxx
Mark & Nanny Di, why don't you do a channel with solely you 2, no one else, where we can really appreciate what you do and buy (cough, cough)!

Yessss agree :)))
The company you bought the flowers from is really good. I have been buying from them for years. Nadia that is what plants look like to start with. You do need to practice yoga more and meditation before you kick off.
Aw poor mark he looked so creast fallen. I’d love some one to buy me a pressie.

Yes, I would love that.
Of course Nanny Di is tired. I'm 45 and I'm tired just watching her! I think she's amazing. X
Nadia wants everything coming out of a box fully grown and in bloom 😂
Nadia! I agree with nanny Di! They’re young! They won’t grow well if you’re nasty to them 🤭
So rude Nadia to say it's a bit shit. If Mark had said that about one of your meals that you make we would not hear the end of it (not that he would as he has manners )
Very ungrateful Nadia, natures gifts are wonderful and we are privileged to watch them grow.

@@strawberrycupcake4471 Ive 5 kids and a husband thanks, if they make something that is practically tat, I will say 'yeah it's nice:, not that I like it or that it's great, but if it is really good then il tell them that too. If your child is rubbish at singing why tell them they're great
Mark I have to say, your garden is better looking than some of our parks!!
Nadia what you saying you are putting bad vibes on the plants
ok, 10mins in, im also losing patience with Mark. BUILD ONE. a raised bed along that fence, u can paint it you know. just wood. i built mine from pallet wood, 18feet long, one and half feet high, painted a nice dark oak. looks very good. and can plant A LOT of plants in there. can even put a metal trim along the top, or however u like. there is no gap in the market, there are tons of them online.
I would never ever say any gift I was lovingly bought was “ a bit shit “ never ever . That’s just disappointing hearing you say that .
Nadia, you practice meditation and gratefulness. Try and be a bit more grateful. Mark is trying and succeeding to make you a beautiful garden. You should get a bit more involved and you may appreciate the hard work they have put in.
I've been watching some old GFH's from the beginning and the transformation of the garden is amazing. Mark and Nanny Di are doing so well! you should be very proud of how far it's come along.
Mark & Nanny Di gardens looking beautiful so much colour love nadia beautiful roses love you all x x x
Nanny Di I love you so much you and Mark are doing a fantastic job with green fingered hell this summer. Loving all your vlogs from Lynn in Rhode Island💝
Love these two pottering makes me feel so calm 💗
Love GFH with the 2 of you, Nanny Di makes any vlog special, you are such a hard worker and she knows so much, I think ye should call the rose after her 💖💖💖💖💖 Buy the plants for your mam Mark, she gets it, and she needs a bit of spoiling, buy Nadia a hand bag for her jumpsuit 😁 It's very relaxing when ye're in the garden I love it 😊😊 Give Stephen a design to make for the trough for the decking, pinterest 👍
Your garden is looking beautiful now and they flowers you bought will be beautiful when they have flowers on them and hiya Nanny di good to see you again xx
I was actually saddened by your response Nadia. When someone gives you a present, you don’t say it’s shit. It’s very ungrateful and sad. Love you Nadia, but I didn’t think it was cool. I’m actually digging this segment. Mark, don’t ever stop giving. I wish my husband did that.
Mark and Nanny Di, you have both worked so hard and now all your endeavours are paying off. When you compare last year’s garden to this year’s, the difference is amazing. And next year it will look even better......a riot of colour. Well done to you both. Get Stephen to build you some planting troughs to your own specifications then you can paint them. X

Hi mark, you can get red gooseberry,s. Xx
Would love to see you doing a BBQ with all the family and Mark HAS to do the cooking, have to do one before the summer ends (Pleeeaase)🤣❤️xx
Bloody hell Nadia that was blunt! Mark's face said it all🤦♀️ thank god nanny di was there to pick him up👍😀great vlog Mark,❤
Love the channel and the content but honestly, I think Nadia needs to stop being in the GFH unless she wants to help more as every time she's in it, she seems to say something negative and it has an instant effect on Mark which you see on his face. My parents raised me to realize even with my ADHD and lack of control on my thoughts and how they came out and my struggle to control my mood will affect other's and if I couldn't put it in a constructive way that wouldn't put anyone else or their efforts down then to keep my gob shut... so my advice is Nadia if you have the same problem as me with needing help to filter what you think and say, keep your mouth shut and think if mark said this to me would i get upset and if the answer is NO then don't say it., but could stand for everyone in general

Gabby Thomson I suspect that on some level Mark knows that Nadia will keep on hating the boxes of twigs and lovely greens he orders for her but gets a kick out of her reaction, which makes her the foil and gives these vlogs some (perhaps unnecessary but enjoyable) drama.

@@ndpeg yes this exactly! It's really not that serious.
Mark you could make a contempary trough planter, have a word with Steven xx
Mark and nanny di, love watching you both ! ;))
I buy all my plants, and a few trees from there, good company, always come good x
I love your Roses you and Nanny Di have done a wonderful job in the garden. 💕🦋
dessert gooseberries are red ,cooking gooseberries are green ,my dad used to grow them .
Mark get Stephen to make you some planters, you can buy the trellis for the back, then paint them a nice grey which would look very contemporary. You can also buy stone planters but they would probably be very expensive. Sure Stephen the creator of many things could help and with the right colour paint Bobs your uncle, plus you can decide how big you want them, 💕👍
The roses look absolutely gorgeous!
Love achillea, hardy geraniums are fab ground cover and agapanthus will remind you of Cornwall. 😉😊 The later likes it’s roots restricted though so are great in containers. Crocus always do up the plants like that...we’ve just ordered 3 varieties of Echinacea from them...you must get some...Nads will love them ☺️Witch Hazel is great for Piles...I should know I used it after giving birth 2 all my 5 babies 🙈 Love the plants...fab shrubs for winter interest when you see those fragrant flowers and then leaves in Spring/Summer. The rose you discovered is gorgeous. Now I’ve said before but I’ll say it again...Oriental Poppies like that won’t self seed. To propagate them you have to take the seed head, out it in a freezer bag in the fridge for months to recreate winter and them plant, something like that...not actually tried myself. I did say previously, if you cut of flower stem and cut the leaves back to just above ground level you can get a second flush of flowers. By chance perhaps more than design you seem to have created a bed with a lovely colour scheme of shades of reds/pinks...it’ll look amazing next year.
Love GFH !! Nadia it was lovely to hear you praise Mark and Nanny Di for the transformation of the garden. My mum is an avid gardener and I can't get her to 'take it easy' even though she is 81, I get tired watching her lol She grew agapanthus from seed and now has a beautiful long border filled with just them - when she moved house I dug up the whole lot to transfer to her new garden, worth every muscle ache as she would've been distraught to leave them behind especially as the new owners didn't want them.
Love the Rose's garden looking great rock on nanny di your amazing lady yeh stick with bags jewelry for nadia lol
Mark watch your language 🤣😂Nanny Di you crease me lol 😂🤣💕
Garden is looking fab. Just remember to water newly planted plants daily 😀 keep up the good work
Perfect - a GFH to watch while I drink my morning coffee 😄❤️
Wow the garden looks so beautiful so colorful and fresh, well done guys! Nanny Di always a hoot :D
Some good choices - Agapanthus will grow anywhere !!
Am I watching something different from everyone else? Nadia is hilarious in this - I was cracking up when she opened the pressie. The garden is so full of colour - you’re doing a fantastic job. 🌺
I’m with Nanny Di...on the beauty and gift of nature and her hard work. Mark - do please give up the idea of troughs or containers of any kind for the deck - plant them in the area of soil next to the deck and I promise they will trail up and over on to your trellis. 👍🌼
Just met the lovely Nanny Di. What a lovely, lovely lady. Xxx
Hi , gosh that's an amazing rose soo lovely, shaping up nicely 😊🌸🌸🌸👍
The Rose is beautiful! I had a dream that you’d featured a rose! Haha I’m having GFH dreams!
See how well those roses are growing when in the soil instead of the plants in pots.
Gardens looking great guys well done your working so hard. Nadia you have a great sense of humour you don’t mean any harm in your ‘present comments’ it’s all said in jest. Mark & N Di know you only too well they know how appreciative you are plus they give as much as they get I’m sure ! 😆 xx
Poppy seft seed the head dry out and tiny little holes appear in the head, the breeze or wind shake them out. The ruby-red, gooseberries when ripe (usually mid-July) with a tangy outer skin. The fruit is perfect for bottling and preserves, but if left to ripen fully can be used as a dessert gooseberry too.
Are you going to put something on top of the soil in the border to stop the weeds coming through? X
I remember when you used to buy me handbangs and flower and rings. Nadia you are HILARIOUS
Those geraniums are great. My mum gave me several clumps from her garden lately that she had divided from very large plants. She got hers from my grandfather's garden. They grow loads every year, look gorgeous and divide brilliantly so you can have them in lots of different spots all over your garden eventually if you like. Good choice! Garden is looking great, guys. Xx
Could Steven make custom troughs from same material as decking?
Steven could make you a brilliant planter. It's bespoke then. Brilliant job as per usual Mark and Nanny Di. X
Hebes are great too. They love sunny spots and you can get loads of different varieties.
Would big pots like by yr black bin be usefull to plant climbers in by the fence and up the trellace like fencing, for privacy? X
I love these Green Fingered Hell films so much! Such wonderful escapism from a wonderful family ❤️ keep up the hard work guys! 😊💚💐
How about an old bath roll top from a salvage as a troff. I used one for years. You have got drainage through the plug hole and looks nice if there are old taps on there.
That wisteria is looking very lush and healthy
If you never got presents, you would be pleased with a barrow of shit
Mmmm gooseberries!
Go thru your book and by a plant that flowers in jan,one for feb and so on .
Yes, Nanny Di you're right the plants do have a future. Nadia wait for opening night!
Summer wine makes me feel fiiine lol Nadia... great work nanny Di & mark gardens looking fabulous just get a hot tub now ...then its sorted x
Your peony, like all flowers, needs watering regularly, especially when they are freshly planted to help them grow. But too much H2O can lead to the peony plant being over-watered. And if they have been planted in soil that doesn’t drain well, they will get ‘wet feet’. This can cause the beautiful flower to suffer from fungal diseases, hope this helps
Stop wasting money Mark, your doing all this for Nadia and you get that response. She won't be happy till hot tub arrives. Very disappointed.
Hey guys! Agapanthus absolutely loves sewer pits! My mum planted heaps of them around the sewer pit & they went nuts!!
The poppy seed pod has holes at the top of it and the seeds shake out when the wind blows scattering the seeds all over.
Use lollipop stick for labels for the plants
I looked at Pinterest to get ideas for my garden and it was great!
I was just looking at your acers there at the edge of your patio, i have one roughly same size and i love it, I love the colour, but its leaves are already dying?? I cant understand why?? It gets plenty of sun and light and routinely watered? Overall though its looking quite weak. I have it two years and feel it should be bigger and stronger? I was scrutinizing yours and your leaves are all still fine?!
Yes some gooseberry variates are red
What is the title of the plant book plz?
Your peony needs some shade & sun mark. So if that bed is sunny nearly all day you may want to reposition it to a spot where it gets a bit of both? Also instead of weeding all the time. Weed once well, & then cover bed black weed lining and you can cut large crosses/holes in the lining when you want to plant in the bed. When you are done with the bed cover the lining up with bark chippings? Or stones- what ever you want. (Much less weeding needing then!)
It’s your garden just do it how you would like it ....x
I do love a plant, but I agree with Nadia she needs better presents, I want Nadia to come home someday and see a beautiful Garden Chyme or a beautiful Jacuzzi/swimming pool in the garden.... or even a beautiful water fountain/feature. All these plants will turn her off gardening yet hahaha
You must press around the plants you plant to make sure there are no air pockets, they will kill your plants in the winter. Freezing pockets 😳😳 Love you both, fabulous X
Love it how nadia tries to be so excited and happy about it lmffao so funny x
Beautiful rose
Mark if you want contemporary why not try a horse trough? Either that or old Belfast sinks.
Very good choice of plants! Perennial, hardy and will like that bed. Why did you split the agapanthus though?? Split things when they’re overcrowded, growing strong and established-sorry. X
Agapanthus are great. They need to be neglected and multiply! They have long lasting flowers , lovely.
One great way of finding plants that look great together is to look up "combination plants" or "combination planting" on Pinterest
Get the brilliant, handy Stephen to build you some unique troughs..
Immerse them immediately in a big basin of water
gooseberrys can be red and black too. :)
Please play 'never have I ever'. Would be so funny!
Make some hanging baskets for front door either side door 🌸🌺👍🏼❤️🌻☕️🇬🇧☔️
Geraniums grow in a big clump they aren’t edging 😕
Go to an agricultural wholesalers. We bought our troughs from one.
Looks like a wig in a box at the moment 😄😄😄😄
Eeww- I just watched the rest. Jesus, Nadia- why are being so negative? I don’t understand that. Not a good look doll.
Your dogs are so well behaved
