They added the tape on the top because they found ~3 gallons of water was/could sit on the top of the roof and possibly eventually leak into/inside the tent. As you maybe saw on the forums, some of the PNW folks when they drilled the side drainage holes that water literally POURED out. It is crazy how much water was being trapped inside the extrusion on the sides.

Yes same on mine I removed the rear extrusion piece to fix a piece of the keeder cord and water drained out for a while before i had the fix done

At times you sound normal and at other, you sound like you have an Asian accent. Love it!

Gears ... Yukon? ... Yukon are eating pinyons .... as for the leaking... give GFC some time. I'm certain they are testing and evaluating. However, I'm surprised they are not sealing the front hinges where the insert into the extrusions..

Mine still leaks. These are junk. GFC is shady knowing they sold me a defective camper. Won’t take return in warranty period. Waste of money.
