Toy restoration tips courtesy of the legendary @toypolloi !!
In this special video essay series, I'm going to be taking a look at some of my favourite original Palitoy Action Man sets, starting with the Action Man Space Rangers. Growing up, my dad was a big collector of 60's 70's and 80's action man figures, this was a toy and a brand that I was constantly surrounded by, whether they were the Action Man dolls on display in the cabinets around the family home, or the ones half constructed and assembled on the dining room table, to me Action Man are a line of toys that have always been super familiar to me and one that I will always have a lot of love for. In today's episode I'm getting the old Action Man Team back together, Tom Stone, Bullet Man, The Atomic Man Mike Power and Desert Fighter Action Man. Enjoy!

Y'alls Atomic Man was waaaaay better than ours!!! I mean...that asymmetrical zippered outfit!!!
The biggest take away from this already awesome video, is that there is a thing called a bobble remover! I will be hunting one of these down! I’ve just got into collecting Action Man this year, with the purchase of Eagle Eyed Soldier & Talking Commander, your uploads have been really informative! Thank you. 🙏🏼

Oh and that cowboy? I need that!
Awesome video man, your enthusiasm for Action Man helped my brain rejuvenate after a mental day at work. Would be cool to see you do some MOTU videos at some stage
Quality episode. I wish these were my actionman growing up . I was born 82 but the 90s gi joe cobra and Duke were my first and then 90s hasbro . I have re bought the first two Gi joe plus a few others .

🙌 Frickin’ rad dude! I’ve never gotten into any of this but its cool to watch it
Great restoration, bullet man and Tom stone are expensive figures to buy on second hand market even if they are in bits
That bullet man reminds me of someone....🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 😅😅😅😅😅 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 As always 👌🏻👍🏻🙏🏻💪🏻👊🏻

Yeah can definitely tell you enjoyed making this. There is a LOT of time and effort in the production of this one. Excellent in every way. 11:44 straight up laughed at this part. Must have been hard to shoot that without laughing and shaking the camera.

Thanks glad you enjoyed it! Definitely went above and beyond with this one 😅
That figure of atomic man looks awesome, I love figures with details on the inside, and I speak spanish so I can tell you that el hombre bala would be translated as The bullet man

Haha now I know!
Wicked video, I had sea wolf as a kid, and used to go to Redgates in Sheffield to get an action man on my birthday, they always had badman displays in there. My next door neighbour had all these, an assault tower, an articulated tank thing, hang glider, flipping everything 😂. Love the content looking forwards to another 1 👍

Great memories by the sounds of it!
Excellent video👍👍
I would love to have Tom Stone, Atomic Man and Bullet Man in my collection but I only have the desert fighter. I had all four as a child but they really deteriorated in my parent's loft. I often think the desert fighter and Bullet Man were ways to make a quick buck for Palitoy as the desert fighter has so little uniform items and equipment and Bullet Man appears to be a reuse of the original Action Man without flocked hair and hard hands instead of gripping ones.
I actually like what you did with the Bulletman. Looks like a rare "Mexican" or Latin American variant with those Superman boots.

Thank you that really means a lot :)
By the way, I gave Action Man HQ the Hombre Bala chest sticker file.
Great video Theo! I used to have Atomic Man, but stripped him down to the black jumpsuit and with a bit of creativity made him into a Judge Dredd figure! I think I gave him away ti a nephew, or something. Never saw Bullet Man in the wild, but would have been impressed by the chrome. Wouldn't have been too enthusiastic about the Mankini, even then...still, takes all sorts...
I had two Tom Stone figures I called the second John Stone Tom's brother. But because they had H&K sub machine guns and an eagle on their berets they fought with the Nazis. How naive was I at 7 years of age.
