As an American, I have no childhood knowledge of Action Man, so I find these videos you do about this iconic line incredibly fascinating. Palitoy was an amazing company whose people clearly cared a lot about what they were doing (much like your love for this line is deeply evident). And the fire effects really pop. 🔥 🔥

The Action Man Police Motorcycle was my all time favourite vehicle. I got one in 1980 and the uniform soon after. The uniform is also one of best alongside the Ceremonials of the early 1970s. Thanks for the video as it's brought back a lot of happy memories!

This was probably your best produced video to date. I started here with your early livestreams where you'd share various figures your AM collection, so to me, AM will always be the heart of Analog Toys. The images that you captured of this series are just a visual tour de force. I felt like I was looking at a modern catalog for these old 70's toys, only shot so much better than they were, even back then. I have only three AM figures in my collection, and I bought them at a time when I had no idea what AM even was. I just knew that they were GI Joe related, foreign figures, and that they looked cool to me (as I was also collecting 60's Joes, as well). I have learned so much about AM solely from your channel, and I'm always delighted when a new AM video makes a premier here. Thank you for being such an amazing historian and custodian to this brand of toys that started it all. While the folks who intimately know these figures will eventually pass on, what you've created here will live on forever and continue to educate and enchant collectors for generations to come.

I've just watched this for the third time. The production values are outstanding, from the editing, the dissolves, the effects, everything. But to me, it's the story/background you tell about the toy, it's more than inciteful. But you do that that for every toy history you do! It's hard to describe why it's so good, but it just is.

Hi Tony, I hope all is well. I did not become aware of the British name for GI Joe ACTION MAN until I started collecting around 1999 when I was 20 years old and Ebay started getting very popular. It was all very fascinating, and I was excited about learning the history of G.I. Joe and Palitoy’s ACTION MAN. It was like discovering hidden treasure back then. If you have time in the future, would you consider making a short video discussing your feelings when you as a young collector had the same revelation about ACTION MAN and discovering the GI JOE American origins. Thank you.

Great feature! I never saw most of the design proposals that were put forward before I started there and the police boots were new to me, ( we could have used them on the Space Ranger !). You've done some great research on this. It's a great tribute to the design department, especially Brian's impressive dedication and input. He really is the best of the best. well done Tony! I really think Hasbro - Valaverse are losing money not getting into this to complete their main lines. 1 - the emergency theme is a market on it s own, clean, and always popular - educational. 2 - who does nt want to complete their scenes - dioramas with civilians - realistic elements? at least police, fireman and medic, civilians - victims would definitively be a +. because I m mainly interested in those for stop motion movies, I give Marauders the edge. as one can build pretty much it s own set - universe without bounds, it s a sand box principle. one can build many factions and have plenty of civilians - victims caught in between. another great factor is the head fit system which provides one the opportunity to 'change uniforms' 'a la' 60s gi Joe, so your team can 'change' in civilian clothes at will too. like when on vacation or something. your character is then defined simply by the head, not the whole figure, as should be. my movie plan is on ice presently, as just both factions in Marauders amounts to about $2000 easy. if I want vehicles, civilians, buildings, it gets to $10 000 fast, while it s only 1/18 scale... and my apartment is really no ideal size for a movie studio, I d need a dedicated room at least... the dream is however really not dead, as I m expecting a flow of money in the future. and 1/18 vehicles are in the making via enthusiasts by 3d printers. also, I can always borrow from other lines like playmobil or cheap Chinese toys. while I still like 1/6 Joes quite a lot to display, it s a given that it s too big for extensive projects. yeah, 1/12 is good looking too, but still too big as well. I still think the future is 1/18 on the long run, especially if you want many vehicle types. cheaper, takes less space, just as much articulated, and always getting better. good show bro.

Incredible video Sir. Your thoroughness on this subject coupled with your efforts regarding video production are superb. The Action Man line was loaded with diversity that captured an imagination unlike many other lines at the time: changing from Superhero (Vintage Collection) to Police Officer fascinated me. Fortunate to live in Canada, as a child of the 70's I remember the earlier version of this brand along with its counterparts GI Joe, Big Jim and the Mego series as my locale was influenced by both UK and USA toy manufacturers. Thanks for the morning melancholy with my Java, I truly appreciate it. If you could whisper in Bobby's ear that an Emergency Set might work in a limited series edition, a case of Canada's finest crafted brew awaits you my good man.

This video is truly a work of brilliance mate! These toys made my childhood and this was a real nostalgia trip for me. I loved my fire engine and police bike. Palitoy were THE best by far and you have done them proud with this outstanding production. Thank you Tony. This is one that I will watch many times over.
