Reposting as a reply to your pinned comment. What advice do you have for pricing? I reached TCGPlayer Seller Level 4, got eight sales in a day, and then realized that I was losing money on every transaction. I raised my floor to 25 cents and have successfully not sold any bulk cards since. 😂

So I’ve been accumulating and sitting on vintage bulk (The Dark through Mercadian Masques) and have a few thousand cards from each set. I’m not in a bind for cash and can sell them at my leisure. I’ve considered buying rares and filling out complete sets to prepare to sell as small units, but is there a more time efficient or profit maximizing way to sell such a collection? My cost basis is around 3-8 cents a card depending on where I’m getting it from.

This video should be required viewing for anyone planning to sell cards in any reasonable quantity on eBay and TCG Player. After selling singles for years, I've also recently started selling bulk on eBay and my website. I don't think people appreciate how much work all this is for razor-thin margins!

Definitely some good points to this. My TCG store has been doing great for the amount of time I put into it and I’ve learned that inventory is everything. I get fresh inventory in two or three days a week and by the weekend it’s feels like I’m running out of inventory. Right now my store is at 75,228 cards available on Monday morning but it was 78,390 on Thursday night. The point is inventory plus the amount of time you invest can change everything

Awesome to hear your success! I’m just starting out in my tcg player store. How do you process so many orders? Packing shipping and of course onboarding inventory. I’m guessing a roca type sorter and for packaging orders you have employees? Just trying to build a roadmap for systems to start building out as I’m scaling up the seller levels. Thanks!

As someone who just got on tcg player direct, I’ve notice I’ve been losing money on the higher end cards on direct. Should I only be selling bulk on direct?

at 2:10 i was getting worried what you might say lol idk why but you speak the truth 100% ive got about 19k tcgplayer sales, one man show, full time job, sling cards as a hobby but have the proper set up. the days i have 100 sales suuuuuuck, because i ship every single day. 40-50 no problem and its enjoyable, throw on a lil youtube/podcast & zone out.

Amazing video as always. Love being apart of this community. So one thing I struggle with and want to ask is besides graded cards what’s something else you use eBay for? Is it for cards that are more valuable on eBay? Can you give some examples of using eBay to sell things besides graded cards. I struggle with diversifying my selling strategies when it comes to magic besides TCGPlayer. Thank you!

My question is around what point did you realize you can do this full time? And how did you achieve it? All I want to do is make around the same as a normal job (around 50k a year) don’t have desires to push to 6 or 7 fig like you but I greatly respect that ❤

Went FT TCG Player in 2021 and i must say, doing this all by myself for 2 years, it’s been a wild ride. Closing in to 25k completed sales and did $100k last year . You need to commit when you jump in the tcg business. On the bright side, My YT channel grew because i get to make videos more often.

@@brickcitycomics2135hitting $100k gross in TCG player in my 1st year was amazing and I also made good money outside tcgplayer through local and Fb sales. Remembering how much i came out from it deducting expenses and supplies etc i think about 65% i profited from tcgplayer, fb and local sales total.

This definitely helped. I'm working about 80+ hours a week. Bringing in between $2,500.00 to $3500.00 a week. Unfortunately the business I'm in is seasonal so this will only last for 6-8 months a year. I'm just curious about your monthly net income. Would you say you are making more than $10,000.00 a month? If yes what do your weekly hours look like? No pressure if you don't want to answer these questions. Love the videos. Take care!

Amazing video again! Question: What label printer do you use for your envelopes?

A few questions if more than one is allowed: 1. What was your starting equity solely for product? So no overhead. 2. How many hours a week are you putting in outside of "floor" time for the store. I am guessing at least 30 in addition to floor time (if not more). 3. What platform are you getting the best flow vs. cost on? I am guessing TCG takes a higher piece of the sale but also provides more flow through where another will have cheaper commission but less flow. At least that is how I envision it. Apologies for the multiple questions.

Hey bro. Thanks for the continuous information you give us. I do pretty okay for the low inventory I have on TCGplayer. Just wanted to know if you still do floor prices or if we should still do those. I do .25 as a floor price for any card and never below it.

Do you use a thermal printer for tcgplayer and ebay? I have windowed envelop for tcgplayer for combined shipping address and packaging slip. I print on paper a packaging slip for ebay and thermal printer for the label.

Hey, I just found your videos, some good information there. I have a collection where I started playing back just after beta, then I stopped when Homelands came out, and started bac up recently. I have boxes and boxes of cards, old and new, old decks where all my lands are duel lands (probably going to hold onto these), to boxes of commons from revised, dark, etc, to lots of new stuff that I bought cheap and is now worth a lot, like I bought a bunch of Hedron Crabs for like 10 cents years ago for a deck and now I see they are worth $8 - $10. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth it to sell the bulk of my old stuff to get a decent chunk of money from it for adult things like my house and bills, but I don't know if I'll have the time to start up a TCGPlayer business, and I'm not super comfortable just sending my cards to somewhere like Card Kingdom or Card Conduit. I also have a pretty decent collection of Yu-Gi-Oh cards I picked up when I was playing with my stepson 10+ years ago. Do you have any advice for someone like me looking to do a one and done kind of sale with the bulk of my stuff.

I started Buying collections and sell singles about 5 Months ago, currently a around 20 Orders a Day. My Biggest Mitsake is spending alot of Money on graded Cards... i expected they will sell within a week or two, but in reality they sit for months.

I can say Pro is definitely worth it for repricing. The mass price tool makes it so you can keep up with the market and have to do it by each individual card

I started selling on TCGplayer a few months ago and I was getting a lot of sales. It’s started to slow down. I’m mostly getting orders for bulk singles that are worth a few cents. My personal experience in this is that while you may lose $ on an individual sale of bulk cards, if you have 20 cards they're looking for then you can turn profit. Tcgplayer optimization algorithm can match tons of bulk cards up with expensive card orders and ultimately drive more sales just because you provide what they need in one convenient shipping price.

If you wish to sell a small collection of older cards (4600 cards from Ruby&Sapphire to Lost Thunder) when the condition is MP-LP-NM, how do you list this, where do you list it, and who are the buyers? My collection is catalogued on Price Charting, but the site doesn't have any safeguards for buyers or sellers, and they are valued quite high compared to resale sites. I would like to sell the whole thing, but not for an absurdly low price. I'm scared of being scammed too. Any suggestions?

Bruce from Tampa, I currently only do magic because I understand it and have a full time job. I can clear 3-3.5k a week in sales, how do I get to 5k a week. I also mainly do Tcg and yes I have direct. I do little on eBay, mainly because I don’t have time. Other than going to work and selling cards, I don’t do anything else or have time for it. I honestly want to quit my job and do this full time, but until I hit 5k a week, it will not be possible to sustain my life. I know it is possible because no one would be doing this full time if it wasn’t. The only thing I can think it to consistently load more inventory. I am thinking about 3k a week should get me where I need to be. I do have at least 12 different sets of cards and minimum inventory of 50k and growing. I have only been doing this 4 months. I was almost at 1k transactions 4 months in then I got direct and in 1 month processed +8k in transactions. I feel I am doing good, but really want to know how to break that 5k a week mark consistently. I know it takes time to answer these questions, and any help is greatly appreciated.

I am new to TCG. I have the account, input some inventory but my cards exceed the 100 item limit they start you with. I can have 50-75 of each rare I own. How do I increase that?

.10 has been working really well for us. People normally buy like a money card then get a couple of bulk cards Or we have had orders that were like a couple hundered cards. Sometimes people just buy a playet of a .10 card. We have lost some money but overall been super worth it to have the floor at .10

I need to get more intentional with my ebay. 40,000 +listings now. Hard to keep up with shipping and adding more new listings

Hey man! Been watching your channel from the vanilla lol. I started selling on TCGplayer and I wanted to know how do you addresses shipping costs on orders of multiple cards? I noticed that I may have a card listed for $1 let’s say with a shipping cost of .99 and a quantity of 20. Someone will buy all 20 at the same time in the same order and they will only get charged .99 shipping and it ends up costing me much more to ship than .99. I haven’t been able to figure that out, any thoughts?

He has a video on this channel how to ship 50 cards in a plain white envelope; personally I have done up to 36. Fitting 20 is no problem at all just depends on your local post office; if it gets sent back then drop it in another blue box. good luck

How should someone buy bulk from random people who are trying to get why more than what the cards are worth?, for example I made a listing on offer up for TCG bulk pokemon and yugioh but most people don't why most people think the bulk is worth a lot more and I feel it's hard to get a person to agree on a deal that fits my description and I usually just copy what another store is already doing im just a guy selling out of his bedroom ?

Facebook marketplace people think they can charge 0.05 a card for bulk.

It sounds like some of the inventory you get comes from buying people's collections. What is your pricing strategy for picking those up? Also, as a small (from home) seller, is picking up collections the best bet? Can you sell make money cracking sealed for singles? If so, what's a good strategy there? Where should I be sourcing my sealed product from, and how much should I be buying (at least a case? more?)? Thanks!

The thing I want to know Rob is when you buy a ton of product and make 15-20% off it. Do the taxes just eat the profit up at the end of the year.

Ive been having problems with usps shipping a single card in a top loader in an envelope. Theyre saying it costs an additional 40 cents because its non machineable. Do you have any work arounds for this? Theyre saying because it doesnt bend easily. I used to have no problem with it in the past just one clerk giving me a hard time about it is this normal?

I've had no issue with USPS when shipping cards. I use shipping shields though, but I have put 20 cards in a PWE and it arrived. 464 Sales in and I've only had one issue where the envelope arrived damage (a few returned as undeliverable and a few missing shipments), never had an issue of non machineable.

I sell 1000+ MTG cards every 1 or 2 days. I do it on Facebook Market though, not TCG. Maybe I should try TCG!

don't. It's a lot of work just to undercut for pennies. Just enjoy your TCG and life.
