Always considered doing this as a side hustle. Guess I’ll continue buying booster boxes and putting them in the closet for another 5-10 years😂

I just started getting back into this crazy world a little over a month ago. No clue what cards were what. Who belongs to what generations or how many there were. Only thing I knew was from Pokemon Go. I really appreciate your content on all your channels. Your pokemon go account led me to your card account and somehow fell into this account. I will say. I love how fully transparent you are with all the content on this channel. Especially the one when you recorded yourself for a day! Wow what a grind of a day and power to you. Just wanted to show some love because it is a crazy hectic world and you have made pokemon relevant in my life again I am all for the Nostalgia. Thanks Brandon and keep up the good work! -Danny
Love your channel(s) a lot man, been watching MYSTIC7 and Mystic Rips both since they started with pokemon go and pokemon cards, also really like this channel! You’re a huge inspiration to my love of pokemon and im glad to see you doing so well! Love your content and keep it up!
I was watching your whatnot back when it was just you and jake. i haven’t watched in awhile but it’s amazing seeing how far you’ve come i remember getting packs for 2 dollars and winning the bounty which would never happen anymore
Brandon - this is great! Keep it up! We run a small business (convention based but with cards too) and everything you said makes so much sense! Just started up on Whatnot and really enjoy it as a platform... Haven't done cards there - too much competition :) but its been lots of fun. Really looking forward to future strategy videos. Thanks for sharing - and boosting the community.
Thank you for making this very helpful video Brandon 🔥 This gave me some great advice on how to sell my old Pokémon card collection when it eventually comes time!
Very Helpful video these tips are very helpful as I just started my own online store and I just want to thank you for clearing up some things I had in mind!!
Missed the blog. Glad your back.
Amazing video. Thanks for the tutorial bro. Saving this :)
Thank you for making this video! It was very informative and inspiring. I decided to start selling on whatnot earlier this month and I sell Pokémon and Naruto Kayou cards! It’s been quite the journey so far, but loads of fun and I love being a part of a growing community! 🙏❤️🔥🍀
It was really good to see you and your team, I had a really enjoyable time at card party! My name was Noah and i was the ginger guy with a black headband, Ashton, his sister and I talked to your brother for quite a bit about getting a sticker business up and running and selling cards as well. It was really enjoyable! Hope you guys had a good time as well Also, winning the giveaway there was surreal LMAO
thanks i just became a millionaire from watching this video
Thanks for the advice and great video thanks!
Killing it my guy. Been watching pokemon investing on yt and im learning a lot. Thanks for the tips. P.S. didn't know your name was Brandon always referred to you as Mystic. And to think about it, you do look like a Brandon 😂😂😂
Love the content keep it up. Wanting to do this full time. This is probably the best avenue to go😅amazing meet you at card party 🎉
Yay another video on the vlog channel! I missed them! Hopefully we get the old style vlogs too and not always topic focused / "value" oriented videos.

totally agree with this. everyone is obsessed with "providing value", but it's easy to overlook the fact that simple entertainment is value too!
Awesome video Brandon. I actually started making pokemon tcg content online to eventually start a reselling business online. You and many others in the community inspired me!
Cool video, and yes please discord… great idea! We need a video next for what do we do with our bulk cards. 😢
You’re like the only poke expert I can trust on this stuff after seeing you on pogo first. Thanks for giving me the courage to start a side hustle. Cheers to TCG!
Another awesome vid on this channel
I stood behind you in line at card party. i was way too tired to socialize that early in the morning haha, but witnessed many kids come up to you. i just want to say thank you for interacting with them and making a huge impact on them with those interactions!

I have a card shop near me where I get a discount when I bring duplicate cards in or whenever I bring them any sales or free advertisement so it’s pretty nice

I just finally went through my collection of cards and sealed product and was excited to see that it’s worth 4k-5k all together but I just gatta find a way to sell some of it. I’m probably ganna try a farmers market first since I’ve had success selling other stuff there
I got a very good vintage pokemon collection for my son in 1999-2000. We still have 1 seal 1st edition Team Rocket box, 2 boxes 1st edition single common and uncommon MINT cards, 1 English binder and 1 Japanese binders holos (many 1st edition) never played, just came straight out from the pack to the binders. We will decide to sell after July 4th if we met a good offer. If not, I’ll hold the collection for longer time.

Bro y'all are crazy. I would never sell my cards. Think about it. Even if I were mega rich from selling cards... all I'd be thinking about doing with my money is buying cards.

Well after 3 years on ebay I might as well just stay here. I'm not into social media. It's too much for me. Thanks for the solid vid
1000000 in sells seems a lot but how much in actual profit? Seems to be a tough business in an over saturated market to be honest.
W Brandon
for findng singles i run paid facebook adverts and do quite well out of it. i can run the advert in the areas i want to and its normally local pick up
eBay is high on fees but I think you get decent value for how quickly Pokémon sells on there.
did I just discover a new m7 channel
Hey Brandon, great meeting you this past weekend at card party. What would you say is your average turnaround time on product that you buy?
@BrandonMartyn
11 күн бұрын
was a pleasure! Definitely depends on the product and how much of it we buy. Like 2,000 packs of a set might take 1-3 weeks to burn through where a vintage box could go in a couple days.
Finding smaller streams on whatnot selling singles for a 1$ start or singles in general
I invested all my money into revolutions bought a hold case and made heaps
Hi Brandon
New to Pokemon tcg, should I go for the English or Japanese version? I live in Malaysia, can easily access to both
what do u think off voggt the counterpart of whatnott ?
My problem is there are so many cards I don’t know what cards are even worth it but all the pros do…any tips?
Sucks in Australia as there only seems to be one wholesaler, and seem to gate keep the crap out of it to create an account. So have to pay more to get from a middleman.....
Where can you sell common and uncommon bulk?

Hi long time viewer from clash! Do you think Facebook market place is a good place to find out of print product for cheap compared to normal pricing or is that just going through rubble looking for a dime a dozen?
@MYSTlC7

What up OG! Tbh finding out of print stuff for cheap is really hard, gets bought up super fast. Facebook does seem like the place you can find that, but you gotta be hunting
Interested in hearing about the program on tiktok to sell graded cards
Veriswap is the way to go
its a shame they dont have TCG player in the UK as i think it would do well
What was your initial investment? If you’re selling 1M a year already it must have been a significant amount.
So I should dust off my 90’s cards
I thought he was ripping Mystic videos😂😂😂 but no, it's just Brandon

So I have a card collection from 1998 or 1999. I have 1-150 all in a binder card sleeves. If I went into a store, what should I expect to get for all of them?

What do you think of amazon or mercari as a selling platform?
@MYSTlC7
9 күн бұрын
Amazon is hard bc they take a HUGE fee compared to other platforms, and Mercari is more lowkey for westerners. They both can work just harder
This guy looks like that Mytic7 dude
Surely you've thought of creating your own selling platform, like, your own ebay of sorts? Under cut to a 5% flat fee
Its easy to make money in an upside/bull market. Come back when the bear hits

Whay about cardmarket?
Best place to sell a $40k collection? I'd like to ideally trade it for a nice car eventually but fb marketplace groups are a pain and rife with scammers
@MYSTlC7
9 күн бұрын
Well you could sell it outright to shops like mine, but we’ll take it at a lower rate than market. eBay might be your next best bet. Just basically list all of it at market and let them sell

eBay isn’t a passive place to sale cards 😂 people do 100’s of thousands of dollars on there lol

I think he meant passive as in you set and forget until it sells.
Why is Pokemon card reselling seen as virtuous while other markets such as concert tickets are seen as scummy? Genuine question because if this video were about reselling concert tickets, you'd have 10 dislikes for every like and people would be calling you names, but instead you're telling people how to effectively scalp Pokemon cards and are only met with praise. I'm just genuinely curious what the difference is because it comes off as the exact same thing to me. Either way you are withholding and upselling a product to someone who deserves to get it at what should be face value.
@BrandonMartyn
11 күн бұрын
Scalping is still bad practice in Pokémon cards. Like going into target, buying out all the cards, then reselling is frowned upon. But most of the good packs that are sold aren’t printed or available in major stores anymore. Card shops get their packs off the secondary market too. Similar to watches, cars, houses.
@FatherandSonHaveFun
11 күн бұрын
Not the same at all, a concert ticket is a one time experience.
@CrackinDutches
10 күн бұрын
Because nobody collects concert tickets. Part of “collecting” is getting product on the secondary market that is no longer being produced or available in stores. If you need to complete a collection, you’d be glad resellers exist.
@CrackinDutches

Also, a majority of the time it makes more financial sense to buy the individual cards youre looking for at market price than it does to try to get one of those cards yourself by opening packs.

The market is overly saturated of sellers and re-sellers. TCG haydays are now gone evident that the prices are crashing. The pandemic is a once in a lifetime event, its either a hit or a miss. If you sold your cards during the pandemic its a hit since prices are bloated by demand and surplus monies due to feds printing money non stop to stimulate the economy. But if you hotl thinking prices will still rise, its a big miss. Nowadays, inflation is high and TCGs are non essentials. Basically the feds are just collecting back the free monies theyve given away during the pandemic. To say the least, its too late to catch up of youre still atarting now.
