This really didn't feel like something up beef's Ally and the thought of him playing the pack honestly never occurred to me but I absolutely love that he's getting into it and hope he has fun. Also thanks for providing a source of content for so many. :)

Heal does work outside of the vault as well. You just were still poisoned, so you immediately lost the healed hearts again.

Just wanted to say heal doesn't only work in vaults! You got tricked because the poison took it right back down, but it did heal you.

Ohhhh the primordial urge to comment “Did you know you have vein miner?” I’m hyped, hope you all have fun!

Beef rolling an epic wand for his first gear role is INSANE! Good luck and I can’t wait to see what everyone does!

“Greed is good” is REAL. Vault crystals require all kinds of items….keep EVERYTHING! 😂 The cost in quantity of each item needed increases the longer you play….think 500 gravel! Have fun!

I have mixed feelings about that. Greed is good occasionally for me. Sometimes I will leave a vault with 2 mins on the clock so I can move on to getting my XP, goodies and started on my next set of vault crystals.

The Botania mod has a lot of portuguese stuff, it should probably be the first mod you unlock, it even has portuguese pavement

Beef! I'm thrilled that VH is now a Hermitpack and that you decided to join!! I don't think you will regret it. This modpack is so much fun to both watch and play! Don't get too caught up with leveling up as fast as others, just enjoy the playing through the quests and the pack. You'll learn so much and completing vaults on your own (or not completing and just greeding and leaving the Vault alive because maybe you couldn't find that 5th Monolith) will give you plenty of dopamine hits. This modpack is extremely addictive. :) Can't wait for the next episode and looking forward to you running your very first vault by yourself! Or take a friend in haha :)

The difference between the chests was the wood type. For one you used only one type of wood, so it got its special texture while the other was a mix of wood types so it got the generic chest texture

I like the slower paced vault runners- I usually only got a few episodes into Iskall’s, Stress’s or Xisuma’s VH series before I was completely lost. I hope there are more runs with others…it was so fun!

@@mech0p Just started playing this maybe a week ago. I have no quest book, but haven't been able to figure out why (no luck with internet searches). It's been a horribly slow start for me. So, back to watching more videos on it.

Every chest(except treasure chests-dont worry about them yet) will have "filler" items. Eventually you will filter them out and not even collect them. For now, some things make blocks, some things can be used as fuel, etc. The filler items all have a soul value of 1. The chest and boots are great for level 0 gear. Most important stats on armour are Health/Armour for your prefixes and Quantity/Rarity for Suffixes. The wand is an item that passively increases your stats. Put it in your offhand and it will increase your fireball damage based on your total ability power. You can bind each skill to its own hotkey for faster use too. Dash/Heal are your staple skills for mobility and healing, the rest are up to you. I do recommend veinminer(Did you know this pack has veinminer?)

Vault hunters is sick! I played it with a couple friends like 6 months ago and you've just reminded me how much I wanted to play it again

Hope you enjoy the modpack with everyone, because we sure do enjoy watching everyone's shenanigans! We obviously want more but hope you don't push your back too much! (have back issues myself)

I LOVE THIS. The hermits don't miss.

Also, fundamental tips - 1) Have a hotkey bound for sorting target inventory. 2) You can hold Shift, and drag your mouse across any inventory/chest UI for quicker item transferring.

I hope this series lasts all the way to the end!

Your heal does work in the over world, but at level 1 it only heals 2 points (one heart)

Lol Joe is right, "licked it" is an actual phrase, used like "licked it outta there" ; to get out of somewhere quickly

OMG... I'm just 10 minutes into this and it is SO much fun watching somebody discover modded minecraft mod packs for the first time. I play vanilla and modded and they're both great.

Crafted chests change appearance depending on what wood is used to make them.

I've always wanted to play vault hunters but never been able to. Tried again today and it had a crash report. So im so glad to watch all of your POVs of this modpack! So excited to see how everyone gets good 😊

My favorite hermit playing my favorite modpack!

It always takes me forever to find vault stone Beefers. Couple suggestions; check out vein miner when you get a chance, it makes block collection so fast- I have trouble going back to vanilla after using it; wait on collecting the resources that are not labeled The Vault until you can unlock those mod packs, it will take a while; you get pouches from sophisticated backpacks by default and one in the quest line- go for them over shulkers ASAP with a pickup upgrade for each when you have the resources from running vaults to make an extra 1 or 2.

@@alexanderkonczal3908 I did, but from a new player perspective, when starting a new world and quest line one does not always put a point into it- in fact you might not even get a point until later in the quest line. Also, after your first few vaults you don't need to find it in the overworld anymore as long as you mine a few ore rooms.

Did you know if you right click a bed in the vault you'll get the "rested buff" which heals you 2 hearts

You could also go through some of the quests, there is a lot of stuff that reduces resource grind to be had in them

The thing about vault stone is once you find it you will find a TON of it. I took me 4 hours to find it and another 2 to find chromatic iron the first time I played vault hunters but as soon as I found it I found 5 more pockets of both iron and stone so I was set for probably 100 vaults
