Getting Started - 5 - On-the-Fly Waypoints - Create mission plans by marking locations using a drone

Фильм және анимация

Learn how to generate and fly a simple waypoint mission using On-the-Fly Waypoints, a workflow that uses the drones location to mark inputs, such as the GPS coordinate, altitude, and camera framing, in order to generate a waypoint mission.
Use the On-the-Fly menu in the Dronelink Mobile App to open the Waypoints On-the-Fly mission. Following step-by-step instructions, a pilot is guided to fly the drone manually to mark locations used to generate the mission. Settings can be edited such as selecting the media type, speed, direction, and how to rotate the drone and gimbal. After generating the mission, it can be flown and is saved for future flights or editing.

Excellent article once again Barry, but users of this function should be aware the drone does not fly to the "Marks" when executing the waypoint mission again. The recording screen that says "Rotate the drone and gimbals to FRAME THE SHOT" does not actually do that. The path of the drone actually is cutting corners as it nears each waypoint and you don't actually repeat the "framing of the shot" again since you don't make it to the mark!. In order to get what you think is "Framing the Shot" you have to first go into the plan and adjust the default radius from 20 ft to 0 feet. Only then does the drone actually go to the Marked Point, and hen the "Framed Shot" actually is WYSIWYG for the flight point you have marked. The other issue to be aware of is when flying the waypoint mission, be careful since the drone "cuts corners" due to the 20 ft default radius. If you aren't careful you could easily collide with something (tree, corner of a building, etc.) since the drone is cutting corners and not flying straight lines to the Marked waypoints.

Another super video, easy to understand and learn, thank you. I hope you will continue to work away through the other flight modes.
