My parents were the same way and my friends loved coming over becasue my parents were married (which was not common at my school) and my parents were involved! You’re doing awesome! If we lived closer, I would want to be your hang out friend lol

Kim you are a great mom. Never doubt yourself you are going through a season which will pass. Enjoying your children and building a relationship is so necessary as time goes by so fast.

Girl, you move so much (just cleaning that kitchen) and FIVE kids and a house full of guests every other day and food shopping and cleaning after a family of SEVEN and doing laundry for a family of SEVEN ... must I keep with the "ands" ... you do NOT need to add tracking "macros" to your MORE than busy day!!! As one of your grandma aged fans, I can tell you I LITERALLY spend at least 5-6 hours EVERY day tracking "macros" for just me and my hubby. Just keep being your absolutely AMAZING WONDERFUL self loving your family and putting smiles in all of our days!!! There's quite a slew of us who LOVE you and your channel. Keep being YOU ... the world needs more of you ... just as you are!!!

Cereal suggestion: Take the bags out of the cereal boxes and use clothes pins to seal them. You can see what it is through the bag or write on it. Store them in a bin. Takes WAY less space.

I usually don't comment, but when you said untidy Joseph, I lost it!!😂 I have to use that from now on. You are such a great mom, and I just look up to you so much. I rewatch your videos way too much and get so excited when a new one pops up. I'm a single young mom with an almost 2 year old, and it is so rough, but it's so worth it! I have learned so much from you, from cooking to discovering new goals on how I want to build my life. You are definitely my woman across the room. So, thank you, and remember that you're the perfect mom for your kids.

I collect and use the old old church cookbooks. The recpes are the best because of course your not going to put a yucky recipe in it for everyone to see. Lol. Seriously really good recipes. My boys are 34 and 30 and they still say Mom, cook us a new salad or meal recipe or cookie. They are both excellent cooks. Hope everything is good health wise Kim. Do something that makes your heart smile!

Being a working mom, for meal planning, one day a week is set aside for cooking meat. Some goes in the crock pot, some in the oven, ground beef crumbles & onion sauteed, bacon etc... Cook enough meat for the entire week. & Boil eggs for the week as well. Then everything goes in the fridge. No matter what the meal, the meat portion is done, & most meals are "one pot" , basically casseroles, but mostly cooked on the stove top. Sides can be cooked fresh. Then at the end of the week, all small serving leftovers are put out on the counter and everyone get to choose what they want, like a buffet. More recent, since the kids moved out, started using sous vide. Pack mason jars full of meat & liquid, sous vide with the canning lids on, cool slightly then refrigerate. The meat lasts way longer than one week stored that way.

I meal plan every week! I also batch cook twice a month for those days that I don’t feel like cooking/ prep lunch meals usually some type of veggie soup! I love trying new recipes and I relate to your enthusiasm to meal plan and try new recipes. I also enjoy when you cook because You always cook scrumptious recipes! You don’t need a mommy handbook. My 7-yr old daughter and I just love your videos but now I have to comment because my husband and I want to move to Europe too! Our plan is to move to Ticino Switzerland because it has the stability of Switzerland but the food, language and culture of northern Italy, where my husband was born. We have visited and all of Switzerland is breathtaking.

So I haven’t actually watched the video yet, but I will… I just wanted to share my good news and thought you could relate and be happy with me. We’re getting our very first chickens next week!!! We went to Tractor Supply yesterday and got all the supplies, but they didn’t have any chicks in store, so we ordered them to be delivered, and I am SO excited! My daughter is only two years old so I’m excited for her to have the beautiful opportunity grow up with animals. Ahhhh, I know you have had chickens before so I thought I’d share! ❤ ❤❤

When I did breakfast sandwiches for the freezer I would wrap each in a paper towel. Then when heating just pop in microwave in the paper towel.

I don’t toast mine, because when I reheat then I toast them then!

@kim I suggest to put labels on your cabinets so your kids know where to put pot, pans, utensils and etc.

Some of kids behaviour is definitely taught but some of it is just their personality too

Kim, don't call youraelf a failure. Don't entertain that thought for even a minute. I am often amazed by all you do in a day and happy children are the confirmation that you are a great mom! And that is what is most important!

Try making Cuban beans and rice. It’s very easy and a crowd pleaser.

I have been making smoothies to change up my breakfast. I do some frozen mixed berries, frozen banana, a heaping amount of peanut butter and some creamy chocolate slim fast that I have. I make a big batch up, then put it in red solo cups with a little bit of press and seal on the top. Pop them in the freezer and at night I put one in the fridge to thaw out so it is ready the next morning. Yum!

My favorite cooked bacon. I was told my a waitress it is called “limp.” Hahaha

Maybe when you get your office space after the addition is done, you can have a nice bookshelf for all of your cookbooks to be out and visible and used more. The upstairs media room would also be great as a dual purpose reading room/media room. You could put knee high shelving across the wall where the desks currently are and fill it with all the kids' books. It's already cozy for a reading space with the couch and blankets.

My daughter is getting married soon, and they're going to Scotland and Ireland, with a stop in London. So jealous.

Hi Kim! I make egg English muffins. Toast the English muffins, then put a little mayonnaise on them. Scramble eggs and put some in custard cups and pop in microwave. Don’t forget to spray the little custard cups ( or just use 1 over and over) with non stick spray. Some I top with bacon and others I make with a sausage patty. Wrap and freeze. *****I know you lived in Italy when Alex was stationed there. I live in Germany (near Ramstein). Austria is always nice to visit but my all time favorite country is England!

We usually do 4 -5 planned meals and 1-2 leftover days. I also try to empty out the freezer/ pantry on the weekends. So, I go in there and try to think of a meal idea with what I have. But, we also do a lot of staple meals like tacos, spaghetti, cheeseburgers and hotdogs…PS- I made Those sweet pulled pork enchiladas that you make with the Dr Pepper the other night! They were fantastic!!! Everyone loved them!

Hello Kim,I saw a whats for dinner video from Kristin Stepp where she made Meatball Wellington,So I went on Pinterest found a recipe and made it tonight.I served it with Mashed Potatoes and veggies with a small green salad,It was a hit.We live in South Africa so some of the dishes you make we have never tried,a couple of months ago I tried making Chilli and it is on our mealplan every other week.I also discovered Paprikash (chicken dish) that we all like.We homeschool and to keep myself organised and also to not go insane I started mealplanning and it has helped me so much.I feel lost without my mealplan.

My literal favorite restaurant meal is a filet mignon with crab sauce, loaded baked potato, and asparagus, with a wedge salad with ranch. My favorite homemade meal is pork chops smothered with mushroom and onion gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, and Parker house rolls.

That little bowl in you egg steamer makes English muffin sized omelettes for breakfast sammies. Whip up your eggs, +a little milk and your add ins (cheese/ bacon/ whatnots) and set it then forget it…. Until the timer goes offf

Not sure when your summer vacation is but consider a few days to the Netherlands. Especially in may. There’s no garantueed good weather but spring with al the tulips and festivities (especially if you venture out of Amsterdam) is really special for a few days.
