In this video I’m helping my friend with a small tree job. I wanted to take the opportunity to give a hand while learning more about using chainsaws. #axe #chainsaw #echochainsaw #kubota #oak #birchtree #pennsylvania

Heck yeah man it was really cool working in this kind of woods, it was tough to get solid footing, but a really cool experience. Oh man I’m loving this Timberwolf !! Thanks again for the recommendation back when I was looking to buy a saw 👍
Great buy i have the cs 590 and its a beast with a little bit of mixture tuning i leaned it out a half turn on the high idle side and damn they run good

Heck yeah man you have one to !!! Dude it’s an awesome saw. I don’t have much time on it, but for the time I have worked with it, I’m really liking it. I was thinking it could use a little tuning it seems to be quite rich. I need to learn a bit more about chainsaw tuning and what to listen for I don’t want to go leaning out to much and burn up the top end.

@940joey2 you don't want to go too far with it but just stop when you notice a difference in the rpm range
you can see what it was, too much meat left in the center of the hinge. when i do the back cut (which is the most scary cut to make) i avoid torquing the bar back and forth and just keep my felling line pointed to whatever i aimed it at when cutting out the notch. of course keeping an eye on both sides of the cut too. 😊 also I've made that mistake of botching the back cut crooked like that, it can get hairy but I was fortunate that nothing went south. keeping the saw level with your notch cut can be difficult sometimes.
Oh no. Not you too. We can't loose another to the chainsaw.

Haha not to worry Joey !! I’m not completely going to the dark side, my heart is still with axes. I just figured it would be cool to capture this moment working with my friend. Granted I did really enjoy running the saw, but they doing get fired up the way axes do !! So yeah man the axe content isn’t going anywhere 🤙
