6:00 I've got put these on for a week. Cut to Safety glasses on hat for remainder of the day.😂😂
The cow watching you with the second gate.. her head all crooked to the side like a puppy! Love her
Idea for the new expansion, an emergency eye wash station!! It can be a simple diverted on a sink faucet!!! And those safety glasses don’t do any good on top of your head!! Please put them on when you use the grinder!!

I have always cringed watching anyone use a tool spinning at 8K rpm, inches from their face, (that includes you hoof GP!) and not always wearing eye protection. There's a tendency to become complacent with safety measures, the longer you get away without incident. But loss of vision can be the most devastating thing to risk. We can trace our increased life expectancy, as a species, to those very measures. Yet even with that confirmation we will take chances with our livelihood that can come to haunt us. I'm so glad Tom's eye was not serious.

Lovely to see cleanup.Ty Tom Better washed with any water than not. Used to use tap water, as a nurse. I’d say wear them. But, tried on HoofGP and wore for a long time, then stopped. Adult, make your own choices.
I can hear you say….”stuff happens”….Tom! It’s just a blink in time and a moment to remind you on another day. Busy people run close to the edge because they have pretty good judgement. You found your welding mitt and you had a melting-moment of heart felt gratitude. When you’re walking round the farm with your children it’ll be something to share with them…. you understand all about that…..😊
15:04 so sweet to see how the cow is checking out what youre doing

Safety Squints - Eye pro of all welders 🤣🤣
Tom. next time you get something in your eye, don't rub it, it will just cut your eye up. Flush it with water and blink alot. Yeah and don't use cows drinking water to wash it out..
SUNDAY VIDEO!! Can't say how much I enjoy the progress on the farm. I can't believe you don't have massive shoulder and back issues the amount of straight arm lifting you end up doing. And remember, Danger never takes a day off.
There is nothing worse than an itchy or eye irritation. The worst one is when you have tired itchy eyes that you rub then rub some more then they start to feel itchy then you rub some more and that's when they start to tear and itch trouble is you try not to rub them again but you can't help it because the bugger is starting to get really uncomfortable and you will try anything like blinking fast but that usually does more harm than good so out comes the optrex eye drops and after a few drops the relief is just amazing. The thing is that we all do this time and again and never learn . Great to see even more progress with the farm and just think this time next year you will be starting more projects and will be appreciating what was done this time the year before. Some people do not like change but if it is beneficial then go for it. Keep up the good work Tom and co. Matt.
So glad you had a “moment.” You and your dad have earned everything you have and should be very proud.
I can watch your videos all day long we need "Tom Pemberton, The Farmlife Movie" 👍👍
A 30 minute video sounds amazing to me Tom. More the merrier, hope your eye is better and the farm is looking great, what an achievement you have done for a young man I bet your family are so proud of you
Don't worry about the videos being to long the longer the better in my opinion I'm sure alot of your subcribers will agree
Hi Tom. Maybe cut the end of gate to right length it’s damaged at the end anyway and latch it into other pillar. 🐄
I installed fence for a very long time. I would suggest you get a small can of marine grade primer for the welds on your gate hinges. Just give them a few strokes with a wire brush first. We would go back to fix things at old job sites from 20 or so years ago and the primer would still be on our welds, and not a speck of rust.
Hi Tom I'm 26 today love your videos the amount of work and dedication to farming and youtubing has to be admired, the very best of luck with the new parlour 👌
Interesting video as usual but for anyone who missed it go back and look at the previous one on the cow surgery - probably the best Tom has ever done. There is a warning but they deal with the issue so well that it should not be missed

Good video and we found a perfect spot where to keep eye protection glasses 🤓 while working with messy stuff after a visit to a&e. 😁
Just love how you are wearing those glasses on your head Tom Doh!!
When working with dusty material USE EYE PROTECTORS. Can't understand why you need a viewing area surely there are much better and important things that area could be used for
A Sunday video would be nice. I also like when your dad tells the stories of how and when things were done and how different today is.
Great video Tom. Glad your eye is okay. I loved the cow checking out the job you had done on the gate near the old shed where cows go out to grass. Looking forward to seeing the major transformation that is going to happen again. You inspire so many with your determination Tom. Keep up the great work.
A little tip for welding.... think of a tune with a steady beat before you strike the arc, and move the rod the the tempo of the tune, and the slag should peel up as you continue welding.
Yes Tom video on Sunday I watch your channel with my 11month old son and he loves it keep up the good work guys
Tom, what I love about you is your internal optimization in everything you do. You don't understand I'm sure that the videos you do for us gives us such joy and optimisation as well. THANK YOU TOM 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Kitty! Can we call her Parsnip? Oh my gosh, that brown cows expression at 15:28! I’m in tears, she’s so cute.
Tom videos can never be too long, Best of luck with the build, looking forward to seeing your next video, Keep up the great work..
Bring back the Sunday vlogs Tom. Always 35 min vlog isn't a bad thing some of the good channels I watch are almost an hour long.
The more videos the better 👍🏼🇬🇬
We have emergency eye wash bottles with sanitary solution. They mount on the wall, and is a good measure before you see a dr. or emt. Keeping a bottle in the tractor is good during the summer. Glad your ok. Safety goggles. Glasses still let dust in. With a front pto you could get a rotary broom and sweep the concrete.

Hi Tom, I am loving 🥰 watching your journey with the farm upgrades & improvements. Such a credit to you & your dad. Please look after your self & take care. Did you really rinse your eye in a cow trough? Mmmmm silly boy. Thank goodness your eye 👁️ is OK. 🥰🇦🇺
Hey Tom, an idea for where you hung the oversized gate : Hang a gate that’s the exact size for the cattle pathway then swing it fully to the wall that it’ll be short; take another short pedestrian gate and put something like a hookor latch that can connect the two together when they meet. That way you can fold both out the way when you don’t need them and have the convenience of a quick access pedestrian gate when the both in use
15:07 I see the Clerk of Works from Jersey was busy snagging your amazing gate hanging prowess 👍🏼 🐮 - “Not as high as the udder one Tom you might want to mooooove that at a later date “ Look after your eyes Tom you only get one set.😉👍🏼
Here we have a similiar situation where a gate has to swing to two places and one place is different. Have a telescopic gate and is a great job just slides in
Good one again tom safety comes first you only get one set of eyes be careful 👍
Great job Everybody, hope the auld eye is well improved by now Tom👌👍🙏🙂
As always thank you for leading into my weekend with a great video. Great to see the progress look forward to the videos you mentioned at the end with your dad talking about building stuff with his dad and also all the new stuff on the farm. Have a great weekend everybody. Be well be you
Fire out the content Tom. We don't care how long it is (that's what she said). We'll still watch it all!
Thumbs up 👍🏻, glad the eye 👁️ better, Sunday on the Hurleyman comparisons, I can’t wait to see the differences.
Tom, always keep stuff in case. I used stuff last year that my dad put away 30 years ago. Re the gate at the bottom of the shed. Take a gate that fits the smallest gap, drill some holes on the end in line with the bars. Insert some rods in and weld a bar on them. You now have a telescopic gate to fit the bigger gap. Ok, i have a confession. I know a farmer that has this modification to allow his cows across a road in summer. I didnt think of it myself.
Love the videos Tom Sunday’s are always a bonus 👍🏻
This is the content I'm here for! I'm enjoying seeing the evolution of the farm.
Brown cow is curious "whatcha doin?" Got some treats? Tom protect that eye and the other one as well. Precious they are.
Always love your videos, no matter how long❤
Sunday, 30 min, 60 min (we CAN pause it!!), more the better 😁👏👍💚
Evening buddy! Gotta look after those eyes! I spent Boxing Day in hospital with an incident identical to yours a few years ago. I then did my best to completely blind myself with a hydrated lime related incident. Wear the goggles, not worth losing your sight! Looking forward to the progress with the bale parlour!
So you got something in your eye, went to a&e, then started using an angle grinder without eye protection. You only have one set of eyes. Please be careful. I also predict somebody will injure themselves on the end of that broken gate.

Tom, when they tell you to wear the glasses, they don't mean balance them on your stocking cap. lol... Just caught your interview on FarmCan...well done.
Back in the day my Dad used chain with a big carabiner to secure gates. Chain gate to posts or gate to gate easily. Cheap(ish), versatile, quick and easy to use and strong enough to be fairly cow proof!
@SebRad78
Жыл бұрын
When I think more the first link of the chain was welded horizontally on the end/side of the gate so the chain couldn't fall in the muck and it was one-hand operation to hook/un-hook it.
How funny when he finished the second gate and closed it did ya all see the cow looking all confused 😂

Hey bud! Sure enjoy our visits! Maybe one day I can muck through the farm with you and the cows! Love from South Carolina, USA!
You three work together so well. Love it.
Glad you’re better any video anytime is good
Agree with comment about installing an eyewash station. Doesn’t need plumbing. Same place you keep your first aid kit..love your work....Australia
Can’t wait to hear your dad’s memories
So excited for u Tom there's always something going on glad the eye is better
Please use the eye protection! Take good care of yourself all the time
Tom love watching what you are doing. I live in western Pennsylvania USA. I grew up on an old dairy farm. I just missed doing it, my family had to quit right before I was born because both my dad and uncle were drafted to go to Vietnam. I just recently started farming the land with my son again for hay and love watching you and your dad together. THanks

Have an emergency saline wash bottle attached to the wall. Can get them from Amazon. I got bleach in my eye at work and used this and it really helped. Takes like two minutes to install them and if anyone has something in their eye you can really rinse them.
Great video, Sunday please. You can now see the benefit of goggles when moving bust of any sort. looking forward to seeing the new mobile dairy.
Hurliman Sunday!? YYYES PLEASE!
Definitely a Sunday video
Just an idea. Made a lid for the sawdust machine. It may help to keep the dust down whilst it mixes the sawdust.
bring the hurleyman on sunday, can't wait to see the Ginger Guy and his dad working together
Please consider putting in an eyewash station. Wear goggles when grinding.
glad your eye is ok,i love how the cows watch you when your talking they must think your a loon talking to yourself😂😂
Been seeing your snapchats and getting rather excited over the start of the parlour, also welding is getting better (seen on Snapchat) good luck with the new renovations Tom, ignore all the obnoxious people in the comments some just like to pick at things to moan about 😂 just remember only one set of eyes buddy stay safe and look after them 😊
Love the progress. Another great video. Yes please to a Sunday video.
Scratched my eye with a large piece of paper, was so scared paper cut on my eye ! Fortunately it was just a scratch. Very scary when you have an eye injury.

Safety glasses first when working on machines or welding and a mask to keep dust out of lungs. You only has two eyes to see you should wear them from now on . That silage sure is steaming hot keep eyes on it , because it could catch on fire.Show room it’s looking so far good.can’t wait for next video like to see it all completed .
Excellent video Tom, looking forward to seeing the progression on the milking units. Sunday video would be awesome! 👍🏻
you will never know how good your weld is until you knock the slag off it.

Hi Tom hope your all good. Happy your getting a new parlour. Can I come up and buy a glass jar from the old 1. I did have 1 but broke it. I want to make it a money jar. I’m amazed at how much refuse you have moved in the last couple years. It’s really noticeable when you look at Google satellite images versus your drone shots. Well done, looks like a beautifully maintained facility.
get some Bolle tracker II safety glasses. i do alot of metalwork and grinding and they properly seal. keep them near your sawdust stock so they are always there when you need them
