Decided to start my own business (after getting laid off) and 6 weeks letter found out of was pregnant. (2013)
Spent the next 2 years trying to figure out how to get things to work, and how to make money. I tried a bunch of things, spent a bunch of money, and had very little to show for it. (2013-2015)
Decided to write a book while 7 month pregnant and ended up writing Boss Mom. (2015)
Finally found something I had a million things to say about and a community I wanted to build. Launched the Boss Moms Facebook Group and Boss Mom Podcast. (2015)
Daughter was a hard baby, didn't sleep for a year, considered firing her but realized she was my daughter and not an employee. (2015-2016)
Just keep engaging online, getting featured, going Live. The Facebook Group grows to 5k, podcast getting 1k downloads a month. (2016) Start making small products as I see what's needed and start a group coaching program. My first 10k day from a $47 product. (2016)
First in person event with 100 amazing ladies (2016)
First $30,000+ month (2017)
Dad passed away and got a (very amicable) divorce. Was really sad for a while. (2018)
Got amazing support and moved through the stages of grief. (Big believer in not doing things alone) (2018)
Facebook Group hit 50k, Podcast hit a million downloads, and business is good. Pandemic hits...thank goodness I had a business, I could run as a solo parent, while both kids (under 6) were doing remote learning. (2020)
Finally had space to work on my own physical and mental health. Feeling better than I did in my 30s. (2022)
At a place where I feel ready to shake things up and really create the next level life I want.
