I was lucky enough to help with the movie and got to see it at the film festival. One of the best movies I have seen. You will laugh. And you will cry.

I don't like to cry, I only like to laugh. I shall wait for an edited version of this with all the sad bits cut out, then watch that and laugh and laugh.

splitbitch You know what? As long as You don't know the depths, there won't be any life in the laughter either. And, fun fact: the most heartly, lively laughter I had to endure in my live was with people already halfway over there on the other side ... of the table. Just saying.

I don't criticise those who like to watch movies like this, or deny the value in laughing in the face of terminal illness. I just like comedies to be funny and stay funny with a happy ending. I like tragedies to be sad and stay sad. I don't like emotional ups and down in entertainment. They call it 'bittersweet' I don't like bittersweet.

Funny story, my history teacher teacher taught Daniel Roebuck who plays bill and all he talks about is how when he had danny he actually wanted to be an actor as a kid but not a lot of people believed him lol

Looks great. But why only 43 thumbs up after 3,352 views? And why the one thumbs down? Is it because there was no spilling of blood? Is that the problem? No nudity? Is that it?

TrustinJC cause it doesn't look genuine. The movie seems to be harming its msg; rather then having a plotdevelopment, it looks like cancer is the whole plot. If you wish to see a more genuine portrayal of a teen suffering from cancer watch me, earl and the dying girl.

This movie was bad. It tried so hard to be heartfelt that it totally missed the mark. It really wanted the viewer to love the lead actress, that she was shoehorned in so many subplots where each scenario felt rushed, and sometimes, uncomfortable/awkward. IDK who wrote this film, but what kinda alcholic parent is a good parent. . . Pick one: alcoholic or great mom!!! LoL!!! And the death scene seemed like the filmmaker barely had enough time to squeeze it in there.... I was surprisingly disappointed. Trailer is way better than the movie.

The trailer appealed to me, BUT as a graphic designer by profession, the typeface for "Getting Grace" SUCKED! I had a great studio director who would point to things like that and say, "Quriky over-worky." At least it was presented in stripes and polka dots.

I suppose that's a sort of try to cope with death. And terminal cancer is some of the most slow motion yet unavoidable deaths You can be present at as friend or relative. It's an emotional rollercoaster not ending after two minutes twenty like in Disneyland, but after the funeral at the earliest.
