Patrice oneal was such a real, honest and non apologetic dude, he would've been defended a lot too but they would have just centered all their hate on him and it would've been impossible. He reminded me of the guy that is the best at something but won't be an asshole/fake/play ball as a manager/leader so he "loses" opportunities that people who just see the money down the road and do anything to keep the machine going take.
