Having a car is definitely more convenient but riding the colectivo added to the experience of living like a local.

The taxi driver was so wonderful to hear. Thanks for sharing the video.

Yes, it’s fun to people watch on the colectivo.

Bus 1 is Avenida Timon and bus 2 is Zetina Gasca on la colonia side to get to the port side. Where do you catch the collectivo on the port side to go to la colonia? Thank you.

You never stay out in the evening to watch the parade, music and festivities? How can I enjoy the city if I don't know when the transportation begins and ends? So sorry your missed out.

You need pesos. I got mine from my bank in the US before going to Mexico. They will give change, just don’t pay with a $500.

What kind of schedule and times do the collectives run

Catching Route 2 on the Colonia side is around every 20-30 minutes. Catching Route 1 on the square on port side about every10 minutes.

The Colectivo only runs on the main road between Cancun and Tulum, right? It doesn't go from the Puerto Morelos colonial side to the beach side. Is that correct?

The Colectivo is local in Puerto Morelos. It doesn’t go to other towns.

I think all night but I was usually home by 10 so I don’t know.

Do you know by chance how can l get to Cancun ?

Can't do the van system in the US -people are f*n crazy here.
