This simultaneously is super rad and ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIES ME. The whole story about showing the card but using the hand to open the door was like something out of fiction, and even the whole concept of body mods seems unreal to me, but the idea of making a hole and putting a thing inside someone's body triggers some sort of super big phobia of mine, and shakes me to my very core. The future is now and I'm not mentally prepared.

Revelation 13:16‭-‬17 KJV Repent and trust in Jesus, all that is happening has been prophesied to happen, we are all sinners in need of a savior, we have all fallen short of Gods glory, but he died for us, took upon himself the wrath that we deserve, repent (metanoia, to have a change of mind) call on the name of Jesus sincerely and he will answer.

They sort of glossed over it - but definitely worth discussing the potential of an attacker running a brush attack on you, where they get close enough to surreptitiously scan your hands to see what security codes (or credit card numbers) they're giving off. Or doing what Brian mentioned - getting close and reprogramming your chip.

I can't wait for RFID skimmers to get small enough that they become implantable as well, so you could clone a card just by holding it in your hand. Having a skimmer implanted in one hand connected to a broadcaster in the other would allow you to essentially open _any RFID lock whose key you've touched at some point._ That's something that belongs in a cyberpunk heist movie.

I don't fully understand all of the science behind these electronic security systems, but my gut instinct tells me that the more complicated and "versatile" they are, the more avenues for them to fail/be exploited there are. At least with a physical lock, the guy has to stand there and use some tools for a little bit.

  • @Charzilian

@xOr RFID tech isn't basic physics, nor is it commonly understood how they work. So you demeaning him for stating that he doesn't know how it works is completely ridiculous. Also, you completely misunderstood what he was saying. he was saying as the tech advances (gets more complicated) the more things that can go wrong with it, and more exploitation would be possible. Nothing he said was wrong, and you only showed yourself to be arrogant, and ignorant.

I kinda love all the safety questions that you get when talking about these implants. It's exactly the same procedure as women have had with the progesterone-only implant for years. This isn't brand-new bio tech in terms of the implant construction and insertion process. I had implants for about 9 years (three implants at 3-year coverage each) so this is tried and tested stuff. I also love Dev's face when Brian asks about tracking questions, priceless!

They're hired by companies to attempt to get into said company's own buildings, computer systems, etc...to look for flaws in security so the company can fix them before a criminal exploits these security flaws. He even talks about it. 🤷‍♂️ Also, they make this thing called Google. You should use it sometime. Then you'd be informed and actually know he's not being funny. He's being serious. "Grinders are people who apply the hacker ethic to improve their own bodies with do it yourself cybernetic devices or introducing Biochemicals into the body to enhance or change their bodies' functionality. Many grinders identify with the biopunk movement, open-source transhumanism, and techno-progressivism"

It's pretty cool stuff the only thing is that due to the size of the coils you have to find sweetspots on the reading/writing device to use it especially on NFC style. But I've had it since 2013/2014 i think and it's still working just fine and i work with MRI quite a bit. It's pretty cool to program it with your contact info and share with people by pushing your hand against the back of someone's phone! I've also used it to open locks and to unlock my phone before fingerprint scanners were prominent. Also used as a smart card on my work PC (with some emulation). Samsung Ezon locks read it quite well as they are made to use small keyfob style RFID. It's best for someone to install it for you but I did it myself and it is located properly and there's no scar. Additionally the glass is smooth with no bonding agent so to remove it you make only small incision and slide it out. It's not sticking to tissues surrounding it.

But i bunched up my skin with clothsline clip disinfected the area pierced the skin and then removed the clip. Kept the needle as shallow as possibile inserted it about 20mm and then squeezed the implant in while pulling out the applicator do that the implant would stary in place where needle was. And it doesnt bond as you can move it a bit. And when im close to moi i can feel it slightly shifting. It is cool stuff. Too bad there's no solution for contactless payments. That would be even more awesome.

Revelation 13: 16-18 And he made everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, put a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead; and that no one could buy or sell, except the one who had the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, count the number of the beast, it is the number of man. And his number is six hundred sixty-six.

Revelation 14: 9-12 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives the mark on his forehead or on his hand, he too will drink the wine of God's wrath, which has been emptied pure. in the cup of his wrath; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and the Lamb; and the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. And those who worship the beast and his image have no rest day or night, nor anyone who receives the mark of his name. When these things malfunction, the sores will be very memorable too. Educational too though. Hopefully we aren't here when this becomes mandatory but we may have to own bone saws to get past certain systems. People need to buy and read a real paper and ink Christian Bible.
