I have been clean for 15 years now and now working on the other things in my life that is not like God . First time I got clean I found the N/A it has helped me so much and give me a place to talk about it I believe God gave me this.

However, I have had members of the body try to tell me it was ok to smoke and drink. I said the things you mentioned (idolatry, losing power to influence, etc.) and was shunned as if I was trying to be holier than thou. I questioned myself. Thank you, Bro. What I do mentally, emotionally, physically and above all, spiritually directly determines my purpose and my calling. Alcohol and drugs mask the authentication of your spiritual vocation. "Be ye sober minded..."

We have to draw upon the Strength of God in order to deny our flesh. It takes prayer, fasting, and meditation upon His Word. It can be done. We can do all things THROUGH HIM...

Deep sleep nightly is a better option for relaxing and escape. We get to escape for at least eight hours. Must talk to God
