I would like to thank you for creating this video and the service. I was planning my game project using Asana + InstaGantt, and once I finished that, what I needed was to insert tasks into Milestones based on the month the task is completed. I simply exported the Gantt chart as an Excel file, imported it into Noteable, and used ChatGPT to give instructions. The result was PERFECT! This alone saved me five hours! It's an amazing tool, and I want to thank you for making it possible!

It really does work (except when the LLM occasionally hallucinates the wrong settings)!
Hey Noteable! I just had to drop a comment to let you know how absolutely fantastic your plugin is. Seriously, it's been a game-changer for me in my Python coding endeavors. The convenience and functionality it offers are simply outstanding. But hey, I've been facing a teeny-tiny issue that's been bugging me. You see, whenever my Python code saves a new file, it doesn't magically pop up on the left panel. I even double-checked using the trusty os.listdir function to ensure the file is created. Yet, no matter how many times I refresh the page, that new file remains elusive in the left panel. So, here's my little suggestion: Wouldn't it be awesome to have a refresh button, just like the one in Colab, that can instantly update the working folder? That way, we won't have to squint our eyes, cross our fingers, and repeatedly refresh the page in hopes of seeing the new file. I genuinely adore your plugin, and it has made my coding experience so much better. Your attention to detail and responsiveness to user feedback are truly commendable. If you could consider adding this small feature, it would be the icing on the cake! Sending you my heartfelt appreciation for all the hard work you've put into creating such an exceptional plugin.

Noteable is SOC2 compliant and so any data you're storing and working on there is completely safe. If you are working in an environment with a secure LLM, we can connect to that and until OpenAI releases ChatGPT for Business, you can always use ChatGPT on mocks of your data and then make the final adjustments to your notebook to point to actual datasources to get the best of both worlds.
Can you provide connection to SQL Server? That would be great addition for a "our" client demo. Thanks

This is incredible! How is the data security sending it to chatGPT?
@noteable_io
Жыл бұрын
Noteable is SOC2 compliant so any data you have on Noteable is secure. But OpenAI doesn't currently offer a plan to prevent your data from being exposed to the LLM for training. It's only a few rows or a statistical overview that is sent to OpenAI but if you're using sensitive data you'll want to use mock data structures to get the code scaffolding in place and then once you've got the notebook you want, you'll go back and point it (via Noteable) to the actual data sources and re-run it.

It seems reasonable that ChatGPT 4 perhaps with Langchain can store-retrieve data and use openai code interpreter without requiring Notable as an intermediary

There are definitely other approaches that can be used to achieve this effect. But the notebook is such a good fit for this natural language approach that we think this one is particularly good.

How safe are the data uploaded/connected to Noteable?
@noteable_io
Жыл бұрын
Good question! The Noteable app is SOC2 compliant so your uploaded data and connections to databases are safe there. However if you're using ChatGPT to analyze your data without an OpenAI business account then some of your data (the first five rows as well as statistical summaries, so your column names as well) is sent to OpenAI. If you're working with secure data, you'll need to use mock data when using ChatGPT and then go back once you've built the workflow you want to change it to point to your secure data.
The plug-in keeps telling me that the data is appearing as one column (true for CSV and Excel). They columns are indeed broken out. Any advice?

'if you already have a notebook created you can point it directly at that notebook'.. said at the ~1:10 min mark. Love the plugin .. big fan... but this is a hurdle .. I don't want to go digging around and create a pointer for the location of a project/file or deal with a url/big ugly ID before i just write down my query.. i should just be able to say 'gimme X info from my latest project' or something like that

@noteable_io
Жыл бұрын
We do have an R kernel supported but you have to first create your notebook and then switch it to an R kernel before telling ChatGPT specifically to use that notebook (by giving it the URL of the notebook) and telling it explicitly to code in R. In the future this will be fully supported through the ChatGPT interface.
Can this work with source code for software?
@noteable_io
Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can input source code or load them as files and ask the ChatGPT to refactor or summarize the content of those files but you'll be using python to load the files. It cannot run any kind of code only SQL, python and R though. If you're working with different languages you might be better off using tools dedicated to those languages.
Can I query the csv file data ? Ex : show me the list of countries whose population grew between 2-5% ?
@noteable_io

You sure can! Most of the time ChatGPT can recognize the necessary column names but if they're very hard to understand you can tell it explicitly what each column represents.
I don't want to give my data to openai. They must pay me for using me as training for future dataset 😅 That is fundamental flaw in this business model, share bread with corpo? 😅
