Coming from a Celtics fan. They meant that Mavs survived the Western Conf playoffs where teams collectively were viewed as better than the East. That being said, our Celtics were a matchup nightmare for them. We have too many options on offense and everyone plays D. Congrats my friends!

i dont understand this sentiment at all... smart was a detriment to our teams mental. whatever stats he put up werent worth the negatives. his decision making especially in clutch time was awful. I was celebrating when we finally got rid of smart i knew whoever replaced him could not be as bad.
