I have been with him all the way when he crossed over like 1975 or 1976 when he started his country genre. That was when i was in secondary school before my GCE papers. Definitely grew up listening to Kenny Rogers ! My dad used to have a radio he played outside while doing yard work or just spending time outside on the patio etc ….good ol’ country classics! To me, that means Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton and bunches and bunches of others, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn etc etc. Those were the GOOD DAYS as far as I’m concerned. So sad these people from my childhood are passing….they ARE a part of my life, my memories, my growing up years. ❤ RIP Kenny Rogers The Gambler.

I was lucky enough to meet Kenny on one of his last tours in Loughlin. I wanted to meet Wanda, but only got to take spinners to the twin boys. Iv listened to him sing since he was in The First Edition. RIP Kenny

I was a big fan R.I.P.

I didn’t realized he past till I saw this. I was in a horrific car accident on 3/5/20. Was hit head on by an 18 year old. Had a broken neck ( almost paralyzed) fractured ribs, shattered elbow and forearm. My femur bone broke out of my leg. Had to be extradited out of my car. I them had to have extensive therapy to recover. I was out of the loop for so long I had no idea of his passing. I saw him as a young girl in the 60’s in Bridgeport Connecticut . He was then known as Kenny Rodgers and the First Edition. So sad to have learned this. RIP.
