This is the best ever hair tutorial i have ever seen, i have been struggling looking for a good hair stylist in my city and was never satisfied with my haircut done at salon. I started cutting hair on my own, watching videos but never ever got the perfect result following those videos. Butterfly hair cut have always been my favorite but every time i go to salon and talk about it, i end up having different hair cut. Today i followed your video and you know what i am so happy to get the same look as shown in your video. I just understood the basic direction and cut it following the guide diagonally. I have subscribed to your video and will try a new look next time. You’re excellent 🤩! Your video is very detailed and you explained everything so well in short and simple steps!⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I can't thank you enough for giving me hope. I know this cut would make the difference! The fact options are so limited is rough, the heart break of having thinning hair with a sparce crown near impossible to hide is rougher, finding someone who can use this tutorial without getting offended their skills aren't good enough, or being told they know better is a down right struggle, but having to live with those results you know will take forever to grow back.... well, that's why I use waterproof mascara. I wish you lived near us! Could you please list the make up you used? Being a ginger finding a great eyebrow pencil is so hard. JFRH are always too dark, & or too red orange. I normally mix 2 colors, yours is perfect. 😊

My hair is so stringy because the person who cut my hair got scissor happy and went in way to far with thinning shears and now it just looks stringy and so so thin. It’s been a year 1/2 or so since the cut and hasn’t grown the same since 😭 thank you for this!

Yalll i did this on my moms hair and she has so much volume! I shouldn’t do this bcs i dont know anything about cutting hair but give me scissors and i will cut someone’s hair. People trust me way to much. But thank you for the amazing tutorial! She looks bomb. The cut looks amazing with a blowout

Hi Summer!! I have been cutting my hair with the layered cut for thick hair you put on. Top area pulled forward, sides with face framing. I am wondering if you could maybe do the same cut as it gets longer. The whole face framing when the hair gets to over ten inches. Does it still connect to the bangsfrom the back if the ears etc??. Would love to see how to keep growing it out. And, each and every time I am out I am stopped by at least two women to tell me how much they love my hair. Seriously, you are a life saver with these hair tutorials. I have great hair but have never been stopped in parking lots to tell me how wonderful my hair looked even with 100 $ haircuts.

I noticed you didn't begin (or end) with a perimeter/longest layer/ baseline at the back. Is there a reason for this, or did you start out already having cut your perimeter? Summer, I am a new subscriber! I really enjoy the way you teach. I have a client in desperate need of THIS cut! I have seen so many mistakes Ive been making, and I'm so embarrassed. I have been cutting her hair the way we were taught in school. But I can't believe how much more your technique makes more sense. Ive been cutting out the weight in the wrong places!! She has very fine, TANGLED, hair shoulder length. I have been through, I don't know, 6 different types of gel trying to get a firm hold!!?! After I blowdry, not blowout, her hair is so silky it won't hold curl😑 we roll in hot rollers. Do You have any recommendations for a firm hold gel? Your videos have been super helpful! Thank you for sharing!!! Edit: on this cut, it would have been really helpful to have a real client with thin hair. I think it would have shown the cut better.

Summer, you are amazing! I wish you were my stylist! Since Covid, the stylist that has been cutting my hair for years cuts my hair dry and takes about 10-15 minutes tops. I have taken photos of cuts I like and I always come out with the same style! How can I find a good stylist who listens and takes the time to cut my hair. I feel like I could get a better cut at Great Clips and she has been a stylist for probably a good 25 years.

What is the limit for how thin your hair can be to have a cut like this work? I have always had fine thin hair that has never held curl. When I was young I tried to have my hair long, but would get frustrated with all the effort to maintain it. So I have kept it short for years. I like my look, but would love to have more options for styling. I will follow some of your other videos on fine hair. This is so tempting to try long again!

I would LOVE for you to cut my hair. I always get bad haircuts. My hair is thinning as I get older and I would love to have more volume. I don't know where you are but it's probably worth the trip!

I love the cut in the back but the sides confuse me because my hair is *very thin on the sides yet "heavy" on top. Would I just do the inverted cut in the opposite direction as you showed but didn't do?

Hello Summer, Thank you for your video Get the MOST out of your Hair. Layering FINE THIN Hair. Get Movement and KEEP Your THICKNESS. When you pull your section and twist your wrist, I don't get what you mean by "twist." Do you mean twist or rotate like a screwdriver or is it more of a bend or hinge? I can't quite see what you do and I'm confused by your language "twist." Is it possible for you to describe it differently and post it here? Thank you. Scott

Oh idk how many I have at this point! I just got rid of some old ones too! The mannequins are the easiest option for filming as it doesn't require me to bring in or find a model.
