Aaah yeah, if you look close, the groove they milled out for the sharp edge to stop the wings from hitting is milled into both sides.

I usually just open my left hand and put the knife in it with your right hand. Then.... close your hand around the knife. That's how I switch hands with my knife. I'm crazy... I know

As a "long time" MC Viewer/subscriber for the past several years or so I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing knives that I don't actually care to own...I'm not a collector... But I haven't gotten excited about any of the knives shown recently... My last purchase was the LEGENDARY Vision FG and I am still more than happy with that choice as my EDC. But this?!? I feel the same way I did when MC did the unboxing of the FG... Now I've jumped from -$100 range to +$300...DAMN YOU AND YOUR LOGIC MC!!!!

I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to get it.

Remette, make an XL sized D/E dagger blade version and I'll be very interested. I'm tired of 3" knives and this design is one of a few that can safely pull off a D/E dagger config, so...

The lock/switch is 180 degrees wrong. Push forward is like a stabbing motion and the blade should lock, not release. C’mon guys these are the basics.

I have one of the first edition of this AWESOME knife. Mine doesn’t have the pocket clip and I see there are 2 different blade styles. Definitely picking up another as funds allow🤘🏻 Thanks for the video!!!

This knife is basically how I imagined how Gravity Knifes operated in my head before ever seeing one. Awesome that there is now a Gravity Knife that works like this!

I’m sure you know by now, but yes you flip the blade to be right or left handed. So simple but so ingenious at the same time.

yes the blade can be flipped over. I got 1 of these when the 1st dropped like a month or 2 ago and i wish mine had the pocket clip like the 1 u got.

The gen 1 swordfish came out in jan or feb and didn't have a pocket clip, the button had very little traction and it only came in the tanto blade

Love the Q-bert handle texturing

They're cool, but I really don't like the button in the middle thing, particularly since it's pushed toward the blade. But it's very well made and a lot of fun. My brother has a similar gravity knife.

Texas classifies double edged blades as daggers, and they were illegal when I lived there. Caught a misdemeanor UCW, or Unlawfully Carry a Weapon charge for a double edged bootknife.

That thing looks cool. I would like to see the internals on a disassembly.

@@monkeBeastTitan Incorrect. You only get fined when caught. Like butterfly knives this one would fall under illegal items here, so even possession is a crime. Not worth taking that risk just for a knife....even if I don't agree with this part of our weapons laws.

You live with a certain risk. But not getting caught does not change legality de facto. Here the benefit of having such a knife does not outweigh that risk for me. Others might think differently. I have 200+ other nice knives to play with. If I kill my wife and hide the body so nobody ever finds it, I am still a murderer. Unconvicted maybe, but still a murderer.

I’m not a fan of gravity knives or OTFs. Could be because I have never used one. But I enjoy the snappy feel of opening with a stud or flipper. Those seem like they would take the fun out of it.

I think for OTFs (whether gravity or spring-loaded), double edged should be the base blade style. For me, the only reason to get one would be to have a safe, pocketable double edged blade.

Not really. They're ambidextrous sort of. You can take it apart and flip the blade over depending if you want it left or right. Not sure why they do these half thought out reviews. The information is on their website and there's probably printed instructions with the knife. It's just lazy to do a review and not know everything about the item

@@fauxque5057 This is an unboxing. He usually does an unboxing when the knife arrives and then a full review after he's had time to carry it and get more familiar with it. The unboxings are for people like me with short attention spans who don't typically want to sit through a 30 minute review. The reviews are subjective for the most part although MC will provide more technical information. I guarantee he'll explain how to take it apart and flip or swap the blade in the actual review. I don't know if he'll disassemble it or not. He does that occasionally. That's Nick Shabazz territory.

I live in Virginia where switchblades are now legal to carry. Gravity knives ….no… I think these are pretty much illegal in a lot of states..

When I was looking for a lefty knife for my wife, this would have been it, instead of a customized Bugout.

I really like mine. The action can be a little sticky, and it does have some wiggle while deployed, but very cool. Wish it had a clip.

I don't think you get an option. The product listing shows both sides of the knife so when you choose the style to order, the insert will be the one shown. If this knife become popular, which seems inevitable because it's novel and cool, I wouldn't be surprised if they start selling aftermarket, or even third party custom inserts. As for now it looks like there are two blade shapes, two handle options, two finish options, and four different inserts. And now I want one. I'll add it to the ever growing list.

I always thought otfs were so-so as well until I started carrying a dual edge with full serrations on one side and plain edge on the other. I don't like smaller knives with partial serrations but it's also nice to have them. The dual edge is really nice. The serrations hog through things when I need it so I can save the good edge for when I need something super sharp

@@bullridermusic2054 I've always wanted to get my hands on one of those just to see what it feels like when it fires. I just have no real use for a single action otf. The whole reason I carry one is for the super simple one handed operation

The blades are fully reversible for left hand or right hand carry. Found this out by accident taking the first run apart.
