Some insurance companies won't insure those, AAA being one. I'm curious as to how a welded frame would hold up in a crash test.

This time last year I was looking for a used truck, as you can imagine it wasn’t fun. At the dealership, I overheard a gentleman getting a quote on what the dealership would give him for his truck and they low balled him close to $11K under what the blue book value was. I asked him if I could take a look at his truck and it looked incredible, had low mileage, was clearly taken care of, and it checked off my list. I asked him what he wanted for it and if we could come to an agreement. The following week we met at the bank and had a private sale. I am absolutely in love with this truck and I recently met the same guy again who’s currently happy with his down sized hybrid car.

Worth bearing in mind that there is enormous focus on trying to make sure prices DO NOT drop. This is deflation. Deflation is even worse than inflation - because it impacts asset values negatively and it makes loans more expensive to repay rather than let them quietly inflate away. I would not say there is widespread collusion - but the prices will crash when 1)someone blinks first or 2) someone major files for bankruptcy [resulting in a fire sale]. As ever - it is all related to timing.

I’m just simply saying that if the BIG Three for daily living in America as an Adult, were to come down 50% the American Dream would the stronger than at any other timeline in the past 50 years. It isnt some huge massive head in the clouds and non realistic thought… this is just what most normal working everyday 40hr a week Citizens would want and enjoy. In the past 4 years, vacations have been nothing but a pipe dream, most of us putting off costly home repairs/vehicle repairs and even yearly PCP/dentistry visits just to shrimp by and buy food and pay insurance rates here in 2024.

It's definitely dropping. I got a notification last night that a car I was watching (2021 Audi) dropped $19.9k down to $62k... original MSRP $115k and avg retail today $82k. Dealer must be frustrated and wanting to move some inventory because it's not making money sitting there.

Gen 5 Camaro was the best design after coming back. It was the CLOSEST to the original. Then GM/Chevy went crazy with the design. I bought a Gen 6 2SS, couldn't find a nice used Gen 5....... now there's overpriced Mustangs because they're the only game in town or they're helping to pay for EV$$'S LOSS. That's why I bought a 22GT

That must be some backwards dealership. I sell for a volume dealer in we usually sell our vehicles anywhere between 3,000 and 5,000 above what we got it for on trade in. We typically put in 1,500- 2,000 worth of work on these cars before sell. We sell mostly anything 2014 and newer

I had no choice and had to buy a car a few weeks ago. Was looking at Honda's and Acura's cause I know them and have always purchased them used with good luck. Could not believe what these dealers wanted for used Accords and Civcs with 100k miles on them, it was freaking insane. Went with a CPO Mazda 3 with 12k miles for what I felt was a reasonable deal and haven't looked back once.

I bought a 2014 V6 Camaro over a year ago as my daily driver to replace a Honda. Usually you would think the Honda was a better car but not so, it was a money pit for me. The only thing that's needed to be fixed on the Camaro is one wheel hub. It's been the best car and I've been racking up the miles on it. So, it really depends.... I think it can depend on the individual car itself.

The car has 125,000 Miles. The car runs good and smooth. 2018 has 115,000 miles, AWD, possible Strut replacement otherwise it's good and runs well. Which car would you suggest to keep?

SRS means either the Airbag computer/ module or one of the Airbag units.

Haha. My SRS light on my 01 Ranger went on, looked into it and fortunately it's an OBD2 setup. The light was on because (get this) in 01 the key could turn off the passenger airbag because of the whole kids/carseats and airbag issues back then. The airbag system would turn on a warning light if the passenger airbag was off, and that light had burned out after 20+ years. So the airbag light was on because airbag WARNING light was burned out. I soldered in a resistor and a LED (because I couldn't just put in a lightbulb... sheesh) and it'll probably last for another 20 years. Oh, and that shut off the airbag light.

I know that when I feel psychotic, I put sunglasses on indoors, and rant into a camera while waving my arms. Heeey, wait a minute..

The Camaro ZL1 1LE broke a record at the nurburgring stock! So not all Camaros are trash! And the same with the mustangs just depends on what you could afford

Yeah the V6's just arent worth it. But the premium generation 5's werent that expensive when they came out 15 yrs ago compared to nowadays. Camaro quality and reliability have done way better than the Mustang in recent years.

The performance isn't the problem, GM doesn't make good looking cars that appeal to the masses. They were only worried about perfomance

Not buying new car. I am happy with my 1985 Toy pickup and two 2002 Honda Civics. All running great.

It’s crazy how the People are just so easily ok with screwing over their fellow man.

When they outlaw personal vehicles, prices will drop 50%.

We can only hope. Was at the mall today (Returned a shirt to Macys that was made in China, felt like plastic, smelled like petroleum) and parked my pristine 2000 Tahoe next to a beautiful, red Jaguar SVR. Talked with the owner. Price was $110,000 Out the Door. I tell ya, if I had the cash I would buy one,
