Great video, I had to film this exact set up with a client the other day in his office against a bright window. I knew what to do in theory, but it wasn’t until I started adding my keylight that I thought… uhm… why isn’t it making a difference? I bumped my Godox SL60W all the way up to 100% and STILL it was just about making a difference once the background was properly exposed. For the first time ever I felt like my godox wasn’t enough 😂 This is perhaps where the brighter lights such as the popular 120Ds come in handy.

The key light must be on the other side ( replace it with the fill light ) also dim it a little bit.

This is great, if you have extra bright and expensive lights like the Aputure 120D.

Love your videos, but I'm curious why you chose to put your key on the broad side? To me it would be motivated from the windows to be on the short side and give a little more depth, thus being a little more cinematic.

Great video! But I feel like your lav mike pointing outside, and not towards your throat/chest, makes the sound less tight...

Not sure the hair light was neccessary with such a bright background. Between your shirt and the background, there was plenty of contrast.

Too expensive if have big windows and many locations. Easier to find a good location and track the sun. But ND’s are always much better solution for me too
