True, but like character development, I hate to say it, but humble people are very much the least interesting and most of the time least noticed. The reason for this is literally because humble people have already reach their goal, reached a contentful point, or have been disciplined and experienced enough that they are close to the end of their eventful/tough part of their life. Simple on the other hand is like wine. He get's better over time. You may hate at first, but after while you begin to admire him. Basically the story arc of many many young amazing talents. They can be cocky and brash. But over time, with mistakes and lessons learned, they become more well rounded people.

it's not about his family and friends...his country is in an existential crisis. it's clear in his speech about peace. his country is torn apart and he felt for it. that's a huge pressure for a teen living away from his family.
