    Thank you for this! You confirmed that I could use a wood putty / water combo to fill in the mini gaps I get on my 1:16 models.

    drywall filler works great in a pinch for filling in smaller imperfections

    A great channel for learning painting and how to print The only thing I would do different when you cut in Meshmixer Make pegs for the parts,so they can attach to the part you cut off

    Apoxie Sculpt can also be smoothed with water... but they also sell Apoxie Safety Solvent - and it's amazing to use to smooth out your Apoxie Sculpt finish or to thin it down. I use it for all my bigger gaps and fills. Also saves you some sanding.

    I’m new to resin but I have and extensive background in fdm, I use a program called Luban and it cuts and keys each half of the model!

    Another awesome video! Question for you: what's the best method you've found to fill support divits? Also what grade of sand paper do you use with the G-tool?

    Thank you! So I usually don't have huge divets from supports so I sand them down. If I do I use Tamiya spot putty. The Gtool comes with a couple of sheets of fine grain pads so I use those. That thing also helps big time with divets.

    Most likely you'll always get some sort of divet hole from a support unless you sit and clip every single support off, which can take forever to do.

    Well they're not minis, but most of mine come from Wicked 3D and they make one piece files so you make them into minis if you want. If you check out their FB page you'll see a lot of people have done that for MCP games.

    I use a 2 part epoxy. It holds a lot better than super glue

I'm always wondering if you can get some what close to the quality as you get with your resin prints of your figures.     Seems I'll be using a lot MeshMixer, cuz there are some huge bases that even on 1/6 scale, don't fit on my Saturn S. But how do you join all the pieces, with super glue?

    I use a 2 part epoxy. It's a lot stronger than super glue and will hold up better over time

    Oh you're thinking of something else. APOXY is the sculpting stuff I use to fill in the seams. EPOXY is a glue I use to connect the base together. EPOXY isnt something to use with your hands. lol APOXY is ok to handle. Hope that helps.

    is there any particular reason you didd't add keys for your base? Also, just an FYI, Amazon says the G-Tool is currently unavailable. not sure if its a temporary thing or not.

    I hot the early version of the model and it only had the one key in the foot. And yes the gtool is gone. They've discontinued it. I believe they're making a newer one.

    Oh man. That's a tough one. The file was $30 I think. I used 9 bottles of resin at $28 each. Not sure about paint yet because I'm not finished

    How do you find the right scale from 1/6 to 1/4 ?

    It depends if the model is already 1/6 scale ,then 50% increase is 1/4. But you would need to see what the original file is scaled.
