Paige Braddock is not just some executive creative director- she was Charles Schulz's assistant in the later years of the comic strip, and around when Schulz had his stroke she took over the inking and lettering of the few remaining comics, as well as curating the art used in the final Sunday strip before Schulz retirement and death. Based on interviews she seems very protective of making sure that only work by Schulz is represented as "By Schulz", and that Ghosted work is not, with likely the exception of when the dailies/Sundays are reprinted with new ink or color since that's technically still "By Schulz" since it's just inking and lettering over Sparky's original work. In other words, as the last person to have worked closely with Charles Schulz, she is the one person most worthy of continuing Sparky's creative legacy, and outside of the Schulz family, worthy of continuing the Peanuts Legacy as a whole.

It's so nice to know someone else has kept the cartoon Charlie Brown going. Charles Schulz will forever live on through his Characters, as long as someone is willing to keep producing new ideas. Thank you for your willingness and hard work.

My grandmother who was the rummage sale whisperer of the Midwest back in Waukesha, Wisconsin back in the '70s and '80s would find tons of paperback classics of peanut comic strips and I would be captivated for hours. Schulz was a great writer on top of a great artist. He inspired me to be an artist to this day. I can still draw snoopy blindfolded. lol

Oh, please, this is just wrong. Stop drawing his characters and make some of your own. Seeing things like this video skeeves me out; I dislike it immensely when someone draws Peanuts characters or strips ... "ghosting" the strips/images, or whatever you want to call copying or tracing. Bleah! It leaves a really bad taste and it smacks of disrespect. I don't care _who_ the person is or what their connection was to Mr. Schulz; drawing Peanuts was *his* occupation and his life's work. He made it crystal clear about his wishes before he died, and that should be respected in every way. Newer generations can become acquainted with the characters via the strip collections and the TV specials and the films and the book treasuries. I don't even care for the French animated series (the one that brings the old strips to life in a watercolory style, and insists on adding audio of a bunch of kids squealing "PEANUTS!!" gleefully in every episode). We should be more thoughtful about Charles Schulz and his legacy.

Paige Braddock was literally the last person to work with Charles Schulz, she was his assistant in the later years, and played a major role in getting the last strips to print. Not only is she extremely protective of the work, making sure only work drawn by Schulz is represented as by Schulz, but she was a letterer and inker on the comics shortly after Schulz's stroke to ensure it all got to print. Aside from the Schulz family, she's the only person who really has the right to produce art for Peanuts, and to continue Schulz legacy. The TL: DR would be "it would be disrespectful of both Sparky and Braddock if she wasn't chosen as essentially Schulz successor because she worked with him personally.
