    Nah, I would have to disagree. As a foreigner, who's worked with over 4 companies in Germany and closely worked with the HR. I can categorically tell you that your age is absolutely not needed neither is your nationality. Your drivers licence is only needed if you'll be on work trip a lot and I've have never included my signature in any application. And, I currently work with a super German company called Siemens. And the numbers of pages depend on your work experience. My CV is currently 4 pages long🤣.

Gracias!!

  • @simplegermany

    @simplegermany

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hola Gabriela! Siento mucho leer lo de tu familiar. En relación a tu pregunta, depende del tipo de trabajo al cual quieres aplicar. Por ejemplo, en empresas super tradicionales como Bosch o Bayern, el dejar espacios de tiempo en blanco puede verse raro ante la persona (muy probablemente alemana) que lo esté leyendo. Sin embargo, hay muchísimas empresas en Alemania que no son tan tradicionales. Así que en base de lo que yo he observado y he preguntado, mi sugerencia sería definitivamente mencionar el tiempo que estuviste aprendiendo alemán. Creo que esto demuestra tu interés en el idioma y el querer aprenderlo. En relación al tiempo que tuviste que cuidar a tu familiar, yo no lo mencionaría en el CV. De pronto en la entrevista te pregunten al respecto y en ese caso puedes dar una explicación personal. Espero mi respuesta te ayude. Mucha suerte en tu búsqueda de trabajo 🍀

    Hi Kevin! Even though it is an advantage to be in Germany while job hunting, it is not impossible to find a job from abroad. I found mine from Hungary 😉. IT is such a general term, that it is hard for me to provide any concrete advice. However, I would recommend to focus on applying on startups. They are mainly in Berlin. Some examples are: Blinkist, Ecosia, and Shopify. Some of them are even 100% remote now. Another advice I can give to you is to have a strong LinkedIn profile. You can find a lot of interesting jobs through LinkedIn as well. Well you say really simple, well what if i tell you that i did nearly a thousand of cv's (i didn't send any of them) and i am still not sure if i can apply to any job i feel too old, why? i am 31 i worked in Greece but with "black money" let's say, it sounds scary i know but it's not that scary that's very common in Greece, i don't know what to do how can i say that i've worked without having even a registered number which identifies that i have got hired in a job from a company not a single one, did i mention that i am 31? .... I feel like there's no way i could possibly find a job! is it only me or anybody here has the same problem?

    Hi, is the photo required on CV?

    Generally in Germany a photo is expected (not required though). It also highly depends on the type of company you are applying to. Traditional - you need a picture, young and modern, does not have to have a picture.

    Es muss kein Bild mit eingefügt werden. Im Gegensatz: Man kann gerne darauf verzichten, um den Bewerbungsprozess noch unvoreingenommener zu gestalten. Ansonsten schönes Video :)

    Dank dir für dein Feedback! Das mit dem Foto ist sehr abhängig von der Firma bei der man sich bewirbt, traditionell ist ein Foto in Deutschland Standard.

    Es wird aber leider von sehr vielen Firmen immer noch erwartet. Vor allem bei größeren Firmen bzw. bei Stellen mit vielen Bewerbern ist kein Bild beizufügen quasi direkt dein Ticket zur Absage.

    What kind of life we live in. You should do this and that ..100000 of things to get a job. It is so difficult to keep your energy while looking to all these kind of videos. Reading company requirements also the other thing that kills your energy. they will require 100 years experience, 1000 types of computer languages, 1000 tools for developing software ..and you should be 20 years old, and and and ..

    Usually, my CV has a link to my LinkedIn profile. Is it also necessary to include a photo in the CV? And why date of birth? This can be discriminatory. In other video, I asked if there is age discrimination, and you didn't answer.

  • @simplegermany

    @simplegermany

    Жыл бұрын

    We can only give you our recommendations of what the typical German standard of a CV is and that includes a professional headshot and your birthdate. If you are applying with young start-ups they might not care so much about the German standard, but traditional companies do. No age or gender discrimination is allowed in Germany.

    Qué feo que se siga usando poner la foto en el CV; habrá gente que defienda que es para que RRHH tenga un mejor control, pero esas son excusas, esto es discriminación.
