Germany is finally back on track, I love it!
Well this is definitely the best coming from Germany in years. Solid dance bop that's not overly "clubby". Well done indeed

yea this is great quality from a Big 5
I'm really thrilled about this German entry, it sounds really fresh and I'm really bopping to it. I like that it's not like Fuego or She Got Me, it almost sounds like a guitar twang, and like trumpets are kicking in during the second chorus. If the performance is good, this could really bring the house down in Ahoy; I'm looking forward to it!

yea its a different kind of bop, which i love. I find it really hard to describe, the closest I can get is the comparison i made in the video which is that it reminds me of "happy"

It's gonna be stage by the choreographer of Justin Timberlake, so hope it will be a good staging.

At first listening Years & Years got into my mind...

I'm happy that we're back on track, even though personally I'm not really a fan of the song. I'll get used to this though I hope. Ben sang a beautiful acoustic version of the song in the show they presented the song. His vocals were good, but not perfect yet.

Love, love, LOVE!! This is FABULOUS!! Its a Nile Rogers vibe that you hear Tom....... I would never have associated this kind of entry with Germany ( not sure why?) I hear Jake Shears in the vocals.... Boris Milanov is an absolute genius......you can keep Laurel Barker, she's only trotting after our Boris...... yep this is my current number 3 now as well. the ireland song has been delayed a week? Laurell Barker is no Borislav Milanov!!!! I like her but She just releases everything shes worked on, regardless of the quality. she clearly sends the good stuff to Switzerland Azerbaijan etc and then the rest she tries to pawn off to anyone who'll take it. Boris only sends out his best stuff!

@@ESCTom pretty much. Possibly Ukraine but otherwise it's right up there depending on live performance. I think it's also better than bulletproof, but I'll wait and compare live to live. Wouldn't it be great if Ireland had pulled our finger out for once

Reminds me of Switzerland last year!! Not my cup of tea but I am so happy to see all the buzz it is generating as I think Germany was short changed way too many times since 2011. Getting worried for Lithuania.

In a year when the entries from the Big 5 have been underwhelming, Germany comes and saves the day ❤️ it's such a bop!!! It's going to be interesting to see how it places now that Austria has released their song and it's very similar.

The song gives me Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber vibes. 😍
Contemporary funky, fresh and solid groove at the same time, catchy, easy to sing with (so important aspect that many songs in Eurovision do not consider), and an androgynous voice reflecting (brilliantly) the gender fluidity of the contest. The song does not want to be a bop. It wants to bring a modern Prince-vibe into the (tired?) contest, and it achieves it. It also proves that quality does not only characterise ballads, opera, and slow songs. I think it's a possible winner.

i dont know if i see the winner potential yet but i definitely agree that this has a universality where i could see people of all ages being into it I think it will be hard to stage so the german team really need to be clever about it

@@ESCTom Justin Timberlake's and Jennifer Lopez' choreographer has been already employed. In such a weak year (up to now) with predictable, pseudoemotional ballads, and some weird messes of sounds (i.e. Czech Republic, Latvia), I think Germany will stand out. Let's see.

Speaking as a big Boris Milanov fan, this one feels like "Hey Europe, Dance Alone was so outstanding, let's sprinkle it with Justin Timberlake flavour and you can flippin reward it, the way you should have done first time". In classical music, you have theme and variations. This is the variation. Anway, sorry, I'm sure he's not really temperamental like that. :-) The thing I loved about this is the synth trumpet in the second chorus. Just feels like a master stroke.

lol, yea Dance Alone was a total injustice. Although N Macedonia kinda messed up that staging by leavin that poor girl completely on her own. I think they felt they had to have her on her own because the song was called that. So this can be justice for Jana!!!

So do you think this song is worth 12 points?Had to hear the song 5 times until I liked it because I didn't like other songs from other countries. Germany seems to have used a different method this year to find his song? Know the singer from "The Voice of Germany" and have to say good choice.

This is so Sergey Lazarev 2012/2015, I suppose that's because the writer is Russian. The song holds up to multiple listenings though. I keep wanting Sergey to sing that lol. Boris Milanov is Bularian/Austrian and wrote Beautiful Mess from Kristian Kosotov, Chingiz last year und Poli Genova "If Love was a Crime". 🙃

Yeah, fair enough, I forgot that. Still the Cyrillic alphabet though :p Tbh Sergey's writers aren't exactly Russian either but the result sound is eastern, not the pop we get here in the west It's a different sound
