Amazing power for such a smal size. Charming tram engine.
What a beautiful tram engine.
Coaling up with wicker baskets, how quaint. I wonder how long they last before they have to be replaced. I see that the first loco is a product of Henschel in Kassel. 4.19 - very clever transition using the "side panels" of the small diesel loco opening on to the next scene. Beautifully shot, nice music, a good ambiance.
Sehr schlecten wetters....mit ausgezeitnett loco! Many thanks for braving the weather and sharing the video with us. Rob In Bournemouth.
Hahaha, so those little toy-like cars and engines that LGB made actually existed! I thought for sure they were shorted and heightened to make them "cuter," but they weren't too far off the mark, after all! Lovely video!

Dear oh dear Gordon, what dreadful weather on that first clip Gordon! However, I really enjoyed viewing your video, nice work! Thanks and best wishes. Ken
The tram engine of the Chiemseebahn is beautiful too.
Delightful little engines! In some less than delightful weather in the first shot.
tobys german cousins. dansk for sharing.
Ah yes! Lovely looking steam tram. Just curious, but why are the driving wheels still exposed? Typically, these had sideskirts to avoid scaring horses.

The ones for use on city streets had side skirts, perhaps this one was intended for use on a regular railway (branch-line service), although it is described as a steam tram.

Maybe they have been removed to ease maintenance? I dunno.
Do they still have the tram steam engine?, the one with the box shape?
