We've raised thousands of rabbits. They are naturally high strung. Rapid breathing is normal for a prey animal that depends on its reflexes to survive. We've had to constantly explain this. The rabbitt could have left at any time. It wasn't trapped like you think. Plus, animals are aware when no aggression is shown. The rabbit was relaxed, and curious. Obviously used to other animals. Exellent vid that shows that interspecies relationships are possible with most animals. There's an important lesson here.

I believe you. At worst, the rabbit was merely startled, then annoyed, by the over-sharing of affection. After all; canine saliva ain't easy to clean off!🙂

You can't deny nature, a dog wants to rip the rabbit to bits, the rabbit knows this, the dog is retrained by circumstance, the rabbit doesn't know this .. he is always a prey animal, that is nature !

Rocky has the sweetest temperment. Just can't figure out what the heck to do with bunny. 💝

The rabbit is pretty much on the edge of panic. Those two don't belong together on an elemental level.

In the wild, rabbits are more pray to dogs than to big cats and the dog here, however gentle it may be, remembers that. Look at 3:15 it was grabbing the rabbit and the video was cut right there.

People think it's cute because they think animals have human feelings and emotions. Ugh. Animals have their own languages. The humans are placing the rabbit in a stressful situation and the dog is just being a dog.

A german shepherd type dog is too rough for rabbits. It will anciently hurt the rabbit. Need a smaller dog or a mild mannered type like a golden retriever.

If the rabbit was scared, it would stomp with his legs, have the ears back and escape behind the sofa. I’ve had rabbits for 30 years. This one doesn‘t look terrified to me

I dont think that rabbit was intelligent enough to say to himself, it's ok. It's just my pal rocky. Anyway. Who cares? Just a comment I made in passing

ABSOLUTELY. Very dangerous ver the bun. You can see the buns heart beating extremely fast. The bun is afraid to leave in fear of getting attacked. Please do NOT do this to your rabbits!

Haha all German Shepherds do. I got 5 of them. It's not really a facial expression, it's the black lines above their eyes that give them a human characteristic and we think they assume different espressione.

The rabbit is scared it doesn't know that the dog just wants to play. Fast breathing,fast nose twitch and body freezing are signs that the bunny is afraid. The rabbit is a prey animal so it is afraid of all predators even Rocky.

Give them a couple months and the rabbit will run to the front door with the dog when the doorbell sounds. My bunny and Shephard were best friends. And they still are... but only in heaven. 😭
