I think people need to be a little kinder, Andy is trying his best, running a business and really cares about the thoughts of others. I can feel the care he has for his craft along with the love he has for his partner and her family.

We in Europe are used to letting our children go and live their lives where they feel good. I lived 47 years away from my parents, even if I came back to see them. My daughter has been living in Switzerland for 25 years and I don't see her often. But to know that she is fine with her husband and her children makes me happy already. @@claire2470 Now at 64 years old I came back to help them because of my father was getting bad after their vaccine. He passed in March at 97 years old in my hand, I was with him for last breath. And I will be with my mom until one of my sister can take my place or not. They are also out.

That could be a factor but three factors also influence the interaction 1. Many Germans, including Andy, tend to be on the more reserved side when dealing with people they don't know well. 2. There's a camera team there - making an awkward and nervous situation (neither sets of parents share a common language) even more so 3. Imagine sitting across from your father-in-law who intially objected to you marrying his daughter. Half korean, half white American - living in Germany since 15 years.
