I find that to be very interesting because in my culture (māori) we do a very similar facial movements in efforts to scare people, including tongue use. Would be interesting to see how our cultures would interact.

I find it Decent of you to express your reaction brother. I'll reference a more familiar source of cultural likeness. for instance, Japanese folk art is well preserved & globally known for their face paints interpretive dance & stark facial gestures.

The cameras doesn’t make them any level of comfortable. They just have the decency and respect to remain calm & keep their composure… All these foreigners always going there for what ? Studying and learning their culture for what.. Then go to america just to not even like other cultures with the same skin color as these folks 😂

And yes, the face painting are also very important. The dances play different roles. The Yaake dance shows that that male dancers strive to imitate the grace and elegance associated with the long-legged white cattle egret, attempting to harness the power of the bird. The Roome dance is simulate the dancing of beaufiful cranes while they’re trying to find a mate.
