GEPRC Rocket Plus DJI FPV samples

Ойын-сауық

Since we have chinese new year until Feb 5, and there aren't many of these videos for this drone, I thought I would post one of the new GEPRC Rocket Plus drone without prop guards and with Avan mini 2.3 inch propellers. Drone is small and wind wiggles it a bit, but 1204 motors are quick in the turns and take off, small props limit top end seemingly. Beetle with 1105 motors and 2.5 Avan rush props seem to have higher top end but less at the bottom, but it is about 10 grams heavier with my configuration. I get about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes less flight time on this than the Transtec Beetle. 4.5 to 6 minutes for Rocket, 5-7 minutes Beetle, 650 to 750 3s, 550 to 650 4s.

Its been years since i flew fpv and thats a good thing because the products now are just way better than 5 years ago....but i gotta start off small no use in buying a dji fpv drone if its just gonna scatter into millions of pieces plus my bank account. Your review sold me, its the best footage out there that doesn't involve ridiculous rollercoaster stunts but rather smooth fying and the showcase of capabilities of this particular drone. Thank You, you did good

Zach Attack, thanks! I love flying without all the Rollercoaster moves so much that I've never really adventured into that freestyle part very deep. And the dji fpv drone is prone to bursting into a million pieces. Good luck coming back in, it is a crazy hobby.

Obe, thank you! If I had to get rid of one I'm not completely sure which one it would be, both are fantastic. I did break an arm on my beetle practicing acrobatics too close to the ground. Ordered new body from newbee drone and it came in two days with the led lights on top set to change color and flash as you control the drone, really nice for spectators. Thanks for stopping in!

I like the dvr capabilities too, if you can live without the sound, with the new 50mbs update, goggle recording looking way better than ever before, but hard to beat the dvr 1080p at 60fps. I've never wanted to carry the weight of a gopro either, but with the naked option, and the little 360 insta, I've been tempted. Hopefully something tiny in the video department comes this coming year.

To me seems to run great on 2.3 props as it comes. Greeting back at you from down South in Dixie! Hope you love the Rocket Plus as much as I do, my favorite drone to chase my brother's homemade airplanes! Gets in closest and sticks to it better'n any my other ones. I love my dji controller, tightened sticks down and it feels pretty good. Has never failsafed on me, and no need for extra receiver, unless you are going really long range.

Hey great video since I'm going to get either this or the transtec. Are you using the DJI transmitter/rx? FrSky? Or TBS ? Could you please make a freestyle video comparing the two? You never once were upside down 😂 hehheh. I spend a lot of time upside down, split-s, rolls, loops, etc. You mentioned the transtec washes out in dives? Which battery were you running?(maybe too much weight?). Does the rocket washout? Thanks a lot. I'm subbed.

VRman3D, I'm doing more and more acrobatics, but not a lot. Rocket plus is heavy, so it is not much for spending time upside down. Beetle only washes out in the more extreme dives and each iteration seems to have less and less prop wash. 4s650 is a pretty sweet spot on this one, 6 minutes for me, 4 for you maybe. I don't use prop guards on either. I use the dji controller, gets me much further out than regular xsrx, or xm plus. Sticks come loose as a goose, I tightened them all the way down.
