Yes, tape is much better! The glue on those motor wire tubes wears out and the tube and wires end up flapping in the breeze. It happened on my iFlight Chimera 7, so I ended up wrapping fabric tape over the tube and arm. 💡

Hi Nick, I find the goggle DVR the most helpful for the following reason. There is lots of videos showing what O3 with rocksteady looks like... What differs is the impact that the individual quad has on the experience through the goggle. The goggle view shows bobbles in the PID tune and any vibrations or jello. You can also see any breakdown in reception which can differ from choices in antennae and interference from electrical noise. Thats why I like goggle view (as well as OSD showing drops in voltage)

21:02 the manual for the flight controller Im using specifically states to use UART 2 for ELRS recievers. ELRS will use tx2 instead of sbus2 and an sbus reciever will use, duh, sbus2. The point here is that, one should read the manual for whatever FC they are using.

Hi Nick. Great video! I'm between the Cinebot30 and this one. My priorities are aggressive flight and increased flight time (bigger LiPos with O3 without external camera). I know that the Cinebot30 has better protections, but in relation to the flight, if the Cinelog35 had the right pids so that it doesn't shake in aggressive flight, which of the two would you go for? Thanks!

  • @NickBurnsFPV

The cinelog35 is going to give longer flight due to larger props are more battery efficient. And we can run much larger capacity batteries for even more flight time. The 35 would be the logical choice for longer flight times with more aggressive flight.

thanks for sharing : it's perfect to see you fly kwads agressively too. It looks nimble but the wobble on dives isn't good.. I'm pretty sure it could be fixed with pids/esc settings but if you're buying a BNF it's to save time on this too. I wonder if it flys better than my iflight protek35, once equipped with a full sized GP11, for standard cinewoop stuff aswell as mid speed chase (bmx).... I have some important shoots comming. On a different topic, I hate that the DJI Controller v1 isn't compatible with o3... haven't made the switch to o3 for that reason :)

For the most part the BNF quads I have on this channel are "ready to fly". We do have to find the drone to the radio and in the case of hd drones we also have to link or bind the video transmission. There are several other steps on could take for personal preference, like the rates we fly with (which isn't required and often very very personal), set the switches on the radio to the different flight modes (arming-required, air mode, angle, horizon, turtle mode (flip over after crash), maybe beeper to help find if it goes down. Some such as myself will also move the osd elements around on screen/goggles, this is also very personal and not required.

@@cleyfpv I believe there is only one nazgul its a 5inch and I haven't flown it. Overall I can tell you that the nazgul should be much more capable of freestyle flight and race flight. The cinelog will do an okay job of freestyle or faster flight. Really in my mind the prop protection is for those that feel more comfortable with that bit of safety but it won't fly as well or be as capable as an equal quad without prop protection.
