First time I'm seeing highlights of Anthony Edwards. Actually had heard a lot more discussion of him than I had anything else. People saying he was high risk/high reward, underdeveloped player, etc... I see a guy who fits the mold of a top 5 draft pick that gets there. His strengths are all very project-able & useful in the NBA. His weaknesses, for the most part, are all things that should improve with time & maturity and practice. Edwards feels like a future All Star, which is what you want when you take a guy in the top 5 of the draft.

Apart from the obvious i.e. his athleticism & downright skill you can tell this kid is going to be special just by the way he talks. A lot of athletes are dumb as rocks from an intellectual perspective but this kid is well spoken and clearly has a brain between his ears. Take Kobe for example. Dude became one of the greats because he was smart cat and knew what he wanted and knew how to get it. This kid has the same kind of mentality about him. He's smart charismatic thinks about the game in a surgical kind of way & knows how to critique himself. And he's got that dog in him. That's a recipe for success right there.

imagine him on the Warriors with Steph, Klay, and Edwards? He can be playmakers with Steph & Klay running double stagger screens, back door cuts, horns, and PnR on offense. On the defense end him and Klay just shutting most wings down, and if they get beat Draymond can help on rotation.

I saw one set of highlights. Gave me Michael Jordan vibes. He loves what Jimmy Butler did to the TWolves in practice. I really like his attitude. Smart enough to make progress by reflecting on his mistakes. His coach sounds like a perfect fit. And this is definitely a franchise guy
