From reading some comments, I was expecting this to be worse than it turned out to be. It was fun, but I could see that Georgia hadn't mastered some of the steps and wasn't giving the dance all the attack that it needed. I hope they got enough votes for the final. Good on Giovanni for making sure that the Chacha basics were in there.

Aw, I know Georgia was very ill during the week and had very little time for rehearsal, and unfortunately it showed. Nice basic cha-cha walk but the hip actions from the cha-cha walk was a hit and miss. Sometimes she almost got it, other times it was not there. Aw. I can't see this routine scoring high with the judges. An 8 from me.

+Scd Observer Yeah, that was my only problem -- her hip action was inconsistent. Other than that, I loved it -- it was certainly better than Gleb and Anita's Salsa-free Salsa!

+Scd Observer Yes, they had one day to train for this, so brilliant attempt given the circumstances. I suspect having only 2 days training in total this week, they threw a bit more into a VW to have a strong dance for a DO. Had she not been sick and had proper training time, this would have been very good.

+Scd Observer I don't think hes at his best but it was Georgias sickness that effected them. They did no training at all Monday or Tuesday. So that gives 2 days for 2 dances and with Georgia sick. I'm pleased they seemed to have focussed more on the VW even if it meant not perfecting the cha cha. I'd rather have one very good than two just good for any DO situation. They'll be fine next week if they get through.
