The series is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and interweaves several plot lines with a large ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.

I assumed that the "Tyrion: Witness to incest" bit was about his value to Dany, since this outline plays with the idea of them meeting up towards the end of the book. It would make sense for Dany to keep him around if he could help her cause by proving that the current claimants to the Iron Throne (Tommen/Myrcella) are illegitimates born of Cersei and Jaime's incest.

The "Tyrion witness to incest" part, to me that explains that lingering look Tyrion gave Jon and Dany near the end of season 7. George might of given Dave & Dan a copy of these notes, they saw that phrase, but no context to go along with it. So they stuck it in at the end of season 7 with hope that George publishes the next book and possibly gives that line some meaning. That didn't happen, so it was basically just dropped.

I have so much sympathy for your kid. Related side note: Long ago, I worked at LucasArts. Didn’t really have any interaction with George Lucas, but he would come to the most important parties. The most family friendly on was always the 4th of July picnic at his Ranch. One year this girl was calling out for “daddy” over and over and George came running over to see what was wrong. The lesson was that no matter how big you are in the real world, to your kids, you’re always just Daddy.

@@OfficialRedTeamReview LucasArts was the games division, and for most of my time there wasn’t even in the same location as LucasFilm or ILM, so we didn’t do all that much with them. We rarely saw anyone famous. There were long hours and low pay (typical of the games industry back then). As a result, there was plenty of craziness, but it was mostly normal overworked office craziness, not cool Star Wars dirt. For a fun little story, I’ll offer this. Once there were several kids visiting the office. My manager, trying to be friendly asked of them, “Do you like Star Wars?” The kid pointed at an action figure set-up on my manager’s desk featuring Jango and young Bobo Fett, and said, “That’s me.” My manager, looked confused for a moment, and said, “You like Jango Fett?” The kid said, “No, that’s me.” It was then that my manager realized that the kid was Daniel Logan, the actor who played young Boba Fett.

22:00 - Preston, The mountain isn’t just really tall he has gigantism. It’s where you have a pituitary tumour causing overproduction of growth hormone. I think this is the case due to Gregor being significantly taller than any other human, without recent giant ancestry , and is much bigger than his close relative Sandor. Also, the mountain is said to have terrible headaches that he drinks to dull the pain. Headaches are a symptom of gigantism. Also I don’t think dwarfs have larger heads. The heads just look large because their body is small. There is some bulbous skull deformation but overall it’s no bigger than a non-dwarf persons skull.

The big question on all our minds while watching the show was how much D and D were going to build their own plots, take some George's alternative plots or stick with George's A plan. I think the most likely thing that happened was that once D and D passed the test with George, they then got access to see all of George's ideas. Then they worked out how what was going to be the carve out for George to pursue later. That's the way things normally happen. This outline sound like a version of the condensed universe that D and D could put on television.

The news from White Harbor is likely about Rickon. The north would rally for the last son of Eddard Stark. Sansa would want to get to Rickon.

I could see Tyrion on his long, introspective rides ruminating about his father and siblings get hung up on his father’s blindness to the flaws of the twins and flashback to like witnessing them and saying something to Tywin and remembering his dad going crazy and cursing Tyrion while defending them and ignoring the hints…as he did for the next 20 years to everyone’s downfall.

I mean i fucking HOPE that's what George was doing with D&D! I have this wish fulfillment idea that he had duped everyone with the shows ending just so he can see what stuff doesnt work and then hes gonna surprise us all with his way better version for the books that will TOTALLY BE READY SOON! 😂 And in my head i just hope that that wou ok d explain all the delays...

I definitely like the balance of the Three-man Broadcast. I feel like it works better for the flow and dynamics. Carmine is Play by Play, Preston is Color Commentary, and Trey is the NFL Ref in NYC. Also yeah most authors churn out shit and just see what sticks as they go along. It’s all about mojo and how you get it going. Most writers just gotta write man. There’s a lot of shit that’s terrible. Brian Herbert for example. After Chapterhouse it’s all Duncan Idaho Jackoff fantasy.

I think Tyrion witness to incest must be that when he’s on the boat he puts together that Jaime and Cersei were together. … however I do like the idea that Griff was having a pederastic relationship with Young griff. That seems pleasingly complex, semi historical, yet ripe for critical portrayals.

I think the incest witnessed by Tyrion might be Penny with his brother, before his brother was killed and beheaded to try to claim the ransom on Tyrion's head.

In regards to the outline being kind of like the show, I can see a potential reason why. It's clear that the show originally didn't want to bother with the Dorne plot as it was in the books. They didn't want to bother with the Ironborn at all originally. And they didn't want to bother with Young Griff at all. So it wouldn't be surprising to me if somewhere around the end of season 4 D&D went to George and were like "Hey George, we want to scrap all these plotlines. Before you came up with them, what were you gonna do?" and then George showed them this outline from before he came up with those plotlines. And then they drew inspiration from that just because they thought if they followed the original storyline they wouldn't get too far off track.

Death of Dragons=Dance of Dragons? In the show Joff and Shireen talk about the Dance, but in books the death of dragons is mostly attributed to the Dragon Pit and not even the storming of the dragon pit. In books we mostly just hear that the dragons small size was due to dragon pit but in Dance we realize the small sizes of the last dragons was b/c the dragons were killed in combination of Dance and the storming of the dragon pit. Basically what I am saying is that the maesters covered up what happened in the Dance to the point that even the Faceless Men don't know what happened. Of course, imo the Faceless Men and Targs are on the same team. Just too much of of a coincidence that the Targs escaped while the FM claimed responsibility for the fall of Valyria

Yes. There are no weak and small dragons being borne, except maybe those that are being poisoned. And yes, the faceless men getting/being on team T, but we just don't at what point.

*Son comes in impatiently* "I'm sure someone finds this entertaining...maybe I'll edit it out." *I* was very entertained and will not stand for the censoring of young voices! In all seriousness, it's relatable, and quite amusing. How long before his first tinfoil theory drops? Is Peppa Pig actually a cannibal? Or is she Ms. Piggy's secret love child, and there was a baby swap? So much potential!

I can relate to the sick, interrupting kid sooooooooo much. It's a fun age... as awesome as it is to see your kids grow and all that, you do miss the early years. My youngest is five, and it's hard knowing that that part of parenthood is almost over for me. Maybe not everyone is on board with this, but I had to chuckle throughout that whole bit.

When the similarities to show plot-points were brought up it gave me pause. At first I thought about whether George would be spiteful enough to share older book outlines with them when he had already altered the story in Feast/Dance, but then it dawned on me that this could have been D&D's idea in the first place. They ran out of book material at some point and wanted to end it quicker than what HBO or George wanted, so maybe they were fine with misdirecting the book readers with plot-points that are less likely to be published. George has obviously always stressed that the two stories wouldn't be identical but maybe this was closer to being intentional in the end anyway?

I think that around season four they realized that George wasn't going to finish the next book before they ran out of material and so they had a sit down with him and he gave them a bunch of old outlines ideas for them to pad things out with, all the while claiming to be "mostly done" with Winds. Then they ran out of that material too within a couple seasons and so they just half assed the rest of the show to get out as soon they could.
