George Michael.... the best British male vocal performer over the last 30+ years by a country mile.

Ever since I heard careless whisper I was gripped!! George Michael's music is so so soul touching. I can not even describe the emotions of his music. Listening to him makes you want to switch off to the world and just soak into the depth of true melodious bliss and be away with angels. This is how his music makes me feel. The strains of life were imprinted in his music. He had to endure all that he did to give us understanding of how he can relate to us also. The grace he gave was his music for us all to enjoy. I only wished he left us with a fragrance of his expression in the perfumery shops aswell as hmv!

Quality of singing does not get much better than this. The music is beautiful but then George starts delivering pitch perfect vocals. Amazing.

I have never heard a voice like his. He was one I a million. With one of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen in my life, except for my own husband whom I lost to cancer . He looked so much like George and had a personality like Georges. I've loved my beautiful husband more than anything in this whole world..

There has never been a better voice or talent. His voice brings me to tears. He was my childhood crush. I still have such a hard time thinking about his death. I pray he had Jesus and I will meet him one day. We will never forget you George. Your music touches me deep in my soul. I hope you are at peace. You are truly missed and in our hearts. 😢

I wish I had heard this in the late 70'w when I was married. I was defiant & had the need to be right (well, I was always right!). I love the choices George made voicing each word with such control, subtle nuances, exquisite beauty. Goddamn, we lost such a talented, beautiful & generous human being. A true artist we will never again have in our lifetime. This is why I still mourn. The loss is deep & cannot be filled. Oh, George, you were so loved & cherished...forever.

It’s been 3 years now and i still cry when I hear his voice. This song is a favorite and sung as only George could. Never will I get over his death and now his sister has joined him such sadness for his father and remaining sister. George you will always be loved and remembered as long as I still love.

rlaurel61 itoo listen to him to his soothing voice to take my sadness n loneliness away.He went through a lot of pain n heartache to write such sentimentel songs, wish we could have more n more of him .It feels like a soulmate gone too soon.After he passed away i fall in depression shen thinking of him .I had only him everything from my teenege yrs till today is associated with his memory.I am obsessed with him till date.

What an elegant post....and I feel the same as you....but my words don't come this easily. I'm older than you, 74, but have kept an eye on him/his career and know that he kept getting better and better. I can't get my head around the fact that he's gone. I can't even imagine how much his work would have changed. I know there is unpublished work of his that we might never get to hear/appreciate....but I hope we do.

I have never heard this song before, it is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I just love all the ranges of music he produces.
