The late George McKee goes through his family photo album telling his story of growing up in Placerville. George was the long time owner of the Round Tent clothing store on Main Street.

    Thank you for sharing this history of Old Hangtown. My family has been hear since 1915, My grandfather owned the Rose bud café , where Steamers is today. My Grandfather Louis Wunschel and great uncle John Wunschel owned and operated the Rosebud for many years.

    I remember Placerville from the late 60s on.. When the trains used to run thru town heading for Michigan Cal in Camino

    What about the forni family? Hung with a grandson one day. Ol of teen ago. Im 60 now jùst wanna know how the kids with a legacy?
