I think the reason I love Rogue one so much its pure rawness. It was just a simple story with relatable characters which we rooted for. It didnt have any major events where you think why the hell were you in there it all made sense. You dont need something completely crazy or out there to be a good film and this shows it. We dont need crazy marvel in star wars to be appealing if that makes sense. Thanks for the vid bro and i hope life is treating you well where you are

@@LordReboTheWise I'm not sure how that would work out...Gareth Edwards had a habit of shooting a bunch of footage, and then splicing together what would work best. Hence, Jyn limping out to the end of the catwalk to be confronted by the TIE fighter...Jyn is still there limping out to the catwalk but the TIE fighter is gone, replaced by a "STRYKER" trying to strafe her.

The main problem I have with Solo is that the actor didn't mirror very nicely Harrison Ford's Solo character. But other than that the movie holds up well, it has a good story

All the old fans including me, who waited in line back in 1999 loved Rogue one. Where it ranks, who cares, it felt like Star Wars and was very good.

I just watched it again tonight and it gets better with every viewing. It’s tightly written and just makes sense from start to finish. There’s no waste and the fact Gikroy wasn’t a huge geek of the franchise speaks volumes about his ability as a writer. Andor was great as well, and I hope he chooses to tell more stories from this world. The directing was also incredibly well handled, and it’s a shame he has suggested he doesn’t see himself directing anything else for Star Wars. I know it’s considered sacrilege but this may be my favourite movie if the whole lot, although I carry huge affection for the originals. Revenge of the Sith was pretty cool as well.

I like Rogue one and Solo, both are pretty good stand alone films. But did Lucas really say "The Last Jedi was beautifully made"?? I mean it looked good visually but story wise it was horrible. If people like it that's totally fine but honestly I can't do any of the sequel trilogy.

@@LordReboTheWise Last Jedi was the best of the sequels for me, other than the Holdo menuever scene, because it at least tells an original story.

I hate every SW movie made by Disney, except for Rogue One. With Rogue, I feel they wrote it well and properly connected it to the original trilogy. There was plenty of likable characters, memorable moments and the visuals, cinematography and settings were just absolutely mind-blowing! Those are things that none of the Sequels offer, but this film does for me as a longtime Star Wars fan.

You have to wonder if a man in his 80s is watching all the content, especially when I'm sure some has really disappointed him.

Rogue one is definitely the best it's actually my favorite of all the star wars. We need more gritty real depictions. I'd love to see a movie from the perspective of the empire that the rebellion is actually causing more harm and chaos than its helping. Like a emperorial soldier that joins after some rebel kill his family is some skirmish and he starts study the force.

That’s because RO was the least Disney-feeling movie of the new Star Wars movies. It actually felt like something Lucas would have created or at the very least signed off on. Definitely my favorite of anything Disney’s put out.

EASILY the best of the Disney *films*. I enjoy a lot of the Disney TV and other SW projects, but the films have been... yea. Except this one. And it gave us Andor which is also really fantastic.

If they ever reinstate the Expanded Universe, Rogue One deserves to be brought back into canon. Yes, Kyle Katarn stole the DS plans, but honestly he’s more known for being a Jedi. Let Jyn have this one and Kyle will still have his Jedi story.

Hey, the Bad Batch is pretty solid. Tales of the Jedi and Clone Wars Season 7 were really good too. Wish the Mandalorian kept that status too, but , while the first two seasons were phenomenal, the third one was just mid sadly. :/

When we came out of the cinema I said to my partner " Someone needs to tell JJ Abrams THAT'S how you make a Star Wars movie !". It just felt right all the way through. Such a shame though that it wasn't filmed using the same camera equipment as the original trilogy. It would really have felt like a prequel then ! My favourite and the only Star Wars movie I will watch after the OT. The prequels and the sequels don't feel "Star Wars " to me. Just cash cows.

Not as a whole. I mean Kenobi had some good moments, but had sort of un-star warsy thing. Mando was up and down, for the most parts from season 1 and parts of season 2. Boba fett had cool concepts, but would be better when used in other series. Andor was gritty that Solo brought, without using legacy characters.

Correct me if I'm wrong but besides the god awful Sequel Trilogy Rogue One & Solo are the only movies Disney has done they've done other projects sure but when it comes to films only those 2. My Favorite Disney Projects Are Mandalorian and Solo I loved Rouge One but preferred Solo and I haven't seen Andor.

I see i would recommend watching the show fully through, it’s hard to capture a lot of the motives and emotions of characters through edits without already seeing it previously

Rogue one , and Andor are amazing. The fan edit movie of kenobi was great. Mandalorian is a lot of fun. The sequel trilogy, awful especially the third installment. I didn’t mind ep 7 or 8, but 9 truly ruined all 3.

I can see Lucas liking rogue one but I do not believe that he liked the last jedi it was one of the worst Star Wars movies ever, and on top of that he hated the sequels because they promised they would use his ideas then completely threw them out the window.

Rogue One is more of a Star Wars fan-film, than a Star Wars movie. It is crammed full of fan service to the breaking point. To some, this may be great entertainment. But it took me straight out of the movie. Andor on the other hand, is fantastic.

I found Rogue One as flat and boring. The characters just weren't popping. The casting was not right. It felt like we were in a familiar world but with all new characters we do not know, that have nothing to do with any of our favorite characters. I watched the movies in linear order and I enjoyed Solo more than Rogue One.

You know if you read enough comments, someone likes everything. I guess we'll have Acolyte fans commenting soon. One interesting thing I've found is a lot of original fans say they prefer the sequels to the prequels. (By original I mean they were old enough to have seen it in theaters or for years on VHS while never believing there would be more Star Wars.
